Mionix has announced the AVIOR AIR CARBON FIBER, its first wireless gaming mouse and a new entry in the ultralight FPS segment. The model represents a shift for the company, combining a redesigned body, a new wireless platform, and a carbon fiber shell. Pre-orders opened on May 5, 2026, with availability expected in early August.

The AVIOR AIR CARBON FIBER introduces a new body shape that replaces the earlier AVIOR design. Instead of a centered hump, the mouse now uses a rear-positioned hump aimed at players who prefer claw, fingertip, or hybrid grips. This change is intended to improve control during quick aim corrections and repeated lift-off movements, which are common in competitive shooters. The structure also separates the left and right primary buttons into individual carbon fiber panels, helping maintain a consistent click feel.

The handmade carbon fiber construction defines the design approach. Each shell uses woven carbon fiber that is heat-formed and CNC-trimmed, resulting in a rigid yet lightweight structure. This process helps bring the mouse down to just 42 grams (±2g), depending on the feet installed. Mionix ships the mouse with both PTFE dot feet and full-size tempered glass skates, letting users choose between different glide characteristics out of the box. The absence of RGB lighting keeps the focus on core aspects like reduced weight, longer battery life, and consistent performance.

The wireless system is built around the Nordic Semiconductor nRF54H20, used in both the mouse and its RF dongle. This setup supports polling rates from 125 Hz up to 8000 Hz, with a reported response time of 0.125 ms at maximum settings. The mouse connects over a 2.4 GHz wireless link and does not include Bluetooth support.
For sensor performance, the device uses the PixArt PAW3950, offering up to 30,000 DPI, 750 IPS tracking speed, and 50G acceleration. Glass tracking is supported, and lift-off distance can be adjusted through software. The primary switches are Raesha optical-mechanical hybrid units rated for up to 100 million clicks.

The mouse is managed through Mionix Galaxy Web Software, which provides controls for DPI, polling rate, button mapping, macros, and firmware updates. It also includes the S.Q.A.T. surface analysis tool for sensor calibration and tracking adjustments.
AVIOR AIR CARBON FIBER is priced at $299.99, with a limited-time pre-order offer reducing the price to $239.99. The product targets players looking for a lightweight wireless mouse with a focus on shape and sensor performance rather than additional features.
