EarFun is aiming at the crowded wireless headphone market with the new Wave Pro X, a $129.99 model that pairs a dual-coaxial driver system with Qualcomm’s latest audio platform and real-time adaptive noise cancellation. The headphones are now available, bringing features such as Bluetooth 6.0, LDAC, aptX Lossless, Auracast, and up to 90 hours of battery life to a price point below many premium competitors.
The Wave Pro X is built around EarFun’s DCAA (Dual-Coaxial Acoustic Architecture), which places a 40mm DLC dynamic driver and a 10mm LCP driver along the same acoustic axis. An AI-driven crossover manages the frequency handoff between the two drivers, with the company saying the design helps maintain phase alignment across bass, mids, and treble. EarFun is targeting a more consistent sound presentation when playing tracks with a wide frequency range.
Noise cancellation is handled by Adaptive Real-time Hybrid ANC. Instead of using one fixed cancellation level, the system monitors the surrounding environment and adjusts its feedback and feed-forward filtering in real time. The headphones use eight microphones for ANC and calls, with the setup also designed to reduce background noise during voice conversations.
Another useful feature is that Hybrid ANC remains available when the Wave Pro X is connected through USB or AUX. This gives users the option to use noise cancellation with wired sources, including devices where Bluetooth is unavailable or when a wired connection is preferred.
Under the hood, Qualcomm’s QCC3095 powers the headphones as part of the Snapdragon S3 Gen 1 Sound Platform. This brings Bluetooth 6.0 connectivity and support for Snapdragon Sound features, alongside aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, and LDAC. Google Fast Pair is also included, while Auracast enables compatible audio broadcasts to be shared with multiple listeners.
For gaming, the EarFun Audio App offers an Ultra-Low Latency Game Mode intended to reduce audio delay. Multipoint connectivity lets users switch between connected devices, while USB Audio provides another option for high-quality playback.
