be quiet! has announced its next-generation air coolers, the Dark Rock Pro 6 and Dark Rock 6, aimed at users building high-performance gaming systems and workstations. The new models bring changes to thermal design, fan behavior, and compatibility, while keeping the brand’s focus on low noise levels.
The company says both coolers use redesigned heat sinks and updated high-performance heat pipes to improve heat dissipation compared to earlier models. At the same time, installation has been simplified with a revised mounting system and fan rail setup, making the coolers easier to handle during assembly.

The Dark Rock Pro 6 sits at the top of the lineup, targeting overclocked CPUs and demanding workloads. It features a dual-tower layout supported by seven heat pipes and two Silent Wings PWM fans in a 135 mm and 120 mm configuration. These fans are tuned for low noise output while maintaining steady airflow under load. The design also includes a dedicated switch that lets users choose between performance mode and a quieter, semi-passive profile. During lighter workloads, the fans can fully stop at lower PWM levels, helping keep noise levels down while the system is idle.
The cooler also includes a nickel-plated base compatible with liquid metal thermal compounds. Clearance has been improved through an adjustable front fan and cut-outs in the heat sink, helping avoid conflicts with RAM modules and motherboard components. The design is finished with a brushed aluminum top and a black coating consistent with the Dark Rock series.

The Dark Rock 6 replaces both the Dark Rock Slim and Dark Rock 5, offering a more compact option for users who need solid cooling without a large footprint. It comes with six heat pipes and a single 135 mm Silent Wings fan, along with the same performance and semi-passive switch found in the Pro model. An asymmetrical heat sink layout improves compatibility with memory and VRM cooling solutions. The cooler also uses a rail-based fan mounting system and a magnetic top cover, allowing easier access during installation or cleaning.
Both models are scheduled for release on May 19, 2026. The Dark Rock Pro 6 is priced at €109.90 / $129.90 / £79.99, while the Dark Rock 6 will be available at €89.90 / $109.90 / £64.99. Each cooler is backed by a three-year warranty. With these updates, be quiet! continues to refine its air cooling lineup, focusing on thermal efficiency, reduced noise, and better compatibility for modern PC builds.
