Darmoshark has unveiled the Air28, a lightweight gaming mouse for fingertip-grip users who want high-end specs in a compact body. The mouse weighs just 28 grams, according to the manufacturer, and features a PixArt PAW3955 sensor, a Nordic 54L15 microcontroller, and support for an 8,000Hz polling rate. Darmoshark has shared the hardware specifications on Bilibili, but it has not yet announced pricing or an official release date.
The Air28 uses an asymmetrical ergonomic shape designed for fingertip control. Unlike many lightweight gaming mice, it does not rely on honeycomb cutouts to reduce weight. Instead, Darmoshark has focused on a compact shell and internal structure to keep the mouse at its claimed 28g weight.

The PixArt PAW3955 sensor supports sensitivity levels of up to 30,000 DPI, tracking speeds of up to 850 inches per second (IPS), and acceleration of up to 60G, according to the published specifications. The Nordic 54L15 MCU enables an 8,000Hz polling rate, allowing the mouse to report its position up to 8,000 times per second when using the supported mode. Darmoshark has also equipped the Air28 with optical mouse switches, although details about their lifespan and actuation force have not been disclosed.
Connectivity includes 2.4GHz wireless and wired USB Type-C. The mouse will also support Darmoshark’s NXP Dual 8K Display Receiver, which is designed for high-polling-rate operation. The company’s teaser video provides a look at the internal construction, including a lateral reinforcement strut intended to help the thin side walls resist pressure when users squeeze the mouse during gameplay.

The Air28’s weight also puts it below Darmoshark’s M5 Air V2, which weighs approximately 31g based on the supplied specifications. That makes the new model around 3g lighter, or roughly 10%, despite its solid shell.
Darmoshark has not confirmed the Air28’s price or availability. The M5 Air V2 has been listed in the company’s store for around $80–$119, depending on the configuration, but that does not establish the price of the new model. The Air28 will compete with other lightweight fingertip gaming mice, including the Pulsar X2F CrazyLight and G-Wolves Lupine II. Its pricing, shape, and real-world performance will help determine how it compares with those alternatives.
