Gigabyte Z990 Leak Reveals ATX, Mini-ITX, and Micro-ATX Motherboards For Intel Nova Lake CPUs

Gigabyte is preparing its motherboard lineup for Intel’s upcoming Nova Lake desktop processors, with a new Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) database listing revealing 24 distinct Z990 motherboard models. The registration includes products from several Gigabyte families, ranging from the high-end AORUS XTREME series to AERO, EAGLE, and DS3H models. The listing suggests that Gigabyte is developing options for different PC builds, although not every registered model is guaranteed to reach the market.

The EEC database reportedly contains 40 Z990 motherboard entries, but removing duplicate model names reduces the total to 24 unique models. The filing also includes six older B760 motherboard models. While the registration provides an early look at Gigabyte’s product plans, it does not reveal complete specifications, pricing, or release dates.

The listed motherboard families include AORUS XTREME, MASTER, PRO, ELITE, EAGLE, AERO, STEALTH, and DS3H. Several names point to different design approaches, including the AERO WOOD and AERO DARK WOOD models, while the STEALTH DUO X could appeal to builders interested in a cleaner cable-management setup. Gigabyte’s lineup may also include different board sizes, with reported models covering ATX, Micro-ATX, Mini-ITX, and E-ATX formats.

The Z990 chipset is expected to serve as a high-end platform for Intel’s Nova Lake-S desktop processors. These CPUs are rumored to use the new LGA1954 socket, meaning buyers planning to upgrade from current Intel desktop platforms may need a compatible motherboard. Earlier leaks have also pointed to Intel’s 900-series chipset family, which is expected to include several options for enthusiast, mainstream, and workstation systems. Intel has not yet published the final specifications for the platform.

The upcoming platform is expected to bring changes to connectivity and expansion support, although the exact features available on individual Gigabyte boards remain unknown. High-end Z990 models could offer more expansion options and CPU overclocking features than lower-tier boards, based on earlier chipset reports. Actual capabilities will depend on the final chipset specifications and each motherboard’s design.

Intel’s Nova Lake desktop processors are expected to arrive around late 2026 to 2027, according to reports, but the final launch schedule remains unconfirmed. The appearance of so many Z990 motherboard names suggests that Gigabyte is preparing for the next desktop platform ahead of its release. Other motherboard manufacturers have also had Nova Lake-compatible models appear in earlier reports.

For PC builders planning a future upgrade, Gigabyte’s reported 24-model Z990 lineup could offer a range of choices, from enthusiast-focused boards to more compact systems. However, the EEC listing does not confirm which models will launch first or how much they will cost. Buyers should wait for official announcements before making decisions based on the leaked product names.
