MSI Launches X7M Gaming Mouse With PixArt PAW3950 Sensor, and 8K Polling Rate

MSI has officially introduced the X7M Gaming Mouse as part of its latest X-series peripheral lineup. Designed for competitive gamers and enthusiasts, the new mouse combines a lightweight chassis, a flagship-grade optical sensor, and high-speed wireless performance in a compact form factor.

At the heart of the MSI X7M is the Nordic nRF54L15 controller paired with the PixArt PAW3950 optical sensor. This combination is aimed at delivering accurate tracking and consistent responsiveness across a wide range of gaming genres. Weighing just 49±2 grams, the X7M is built for users who prefer a lighter mouse for faster movements and reduced fatigue during long gaming sessions.

The mouse features a symmetrical ergonomic design with dimensions of 119.68 × 61.90 × 38.37 mm. MSI has applied a skin-friendly and wear-resistant coating to improve comfort while maintaining durability during everyday use.

MSI has also selected premium switch components throughout the mouse. The primary buttons use Omron optical microswitches rated for 70 million clicks, while the scroll wheel is equipped with a TTC Gold Wheel 1M encoder. The middle button uses a Kailh microswitch, and the side buttons rely on Huanyu pin microswitches for tactile feedback.
