REDMAGIC Introduces 49g Carbon Fiber Gaming Mouse With PAW3950 Sensor and 8K Polling Support

REDMAGIC has expanded its gaming peripheral lineup with the launch of a new carbon fiber gaming mouse, unveiled during the ongoing REDMAGIC 11S Pro Series product event. The new mouse positions itself as a premium esports-focused device and is being promoted as the first in the industry to use a carbon fiber magnesium-aluminum alloy surround structure. The design focuses on reducing weight while maintaining rigidity, targeting competitive gamers who prioritize speed and precision.

The mouse is priced at 1299 yuan, which converts to approximately $180, while an early launch price of 999 yuan brings it down to around $139. This pricing places it directly in the competitive segment of lightweight esports mice that aim to balance performance hardware with advanced materials.

The Mouse weighs just 49 grams, making it exceptionally lightweight. REDMAGIC uses a symmetrical shell design aimed at improving comfort for users with larger hands, especially during extended gaming sessions. Its build combines real carbon fiber with a high-strength magnesium-aluminum alloy bottom shell, designed to enhance durability while keeping the overall structure lightweight and compact.

On the performance side, the mouse is equipped with the PixArt PAW3950 sensor, a flagship-grade optical sensor commonly used in high-end gaming peripherals. It is designed to deliver accurate tracking and stable responsiveness for fast-paced gaming scenarios. The device also includes newly customized optical micro-switches, which are expected to offer improved click response and durability compared to traditional mechanical switches.

Its dual 8KHz polling rate support in both wired and wireless modes enables the mouse to transmit input data at an extremely high frequency compared to standard gaming mice, helping reduce latency and deliver improved responsiveness in competitive gameplay scenarios. In addition, REDMAGIC provides configuration support through its REDMAGIC Driver software, accessible via both a desktop client and a web-based interface, allowing users to fine-tune sensitivity settings, customize button mappings, and adjust various performance parameters.

With this release, REDMAGIC continues to expand beyond smartphones into gaming peripherals, focusing on high-performance hardware aimed at esports users. The carbon fiber gaming mouse reflects the growing trend in the industry toward ultra-lightweight designs combined with advanced sensor technology and higher polling rates, as brands compete in the increasingly specialized gaming accessories market.
