Battlefield 6 Season 1 Arrives October 28 with Rogue Ops, New Maps, and Seasonal Phases

Battlefield Studios has officially unveiled the trailer for Battlefield 6 Season 1, confirming that the first season of content will begin on October 28, 2025. The trailer offers players a detailed look at what’s coming in the months ahead, including new maps, modes, and events that will roll out in several phases through December.

Season 1 will start with Rogue Ops, the first major phase of the new content roadmap. Launching next week, Rogue Ops brings an all-new map titled Blackwell Fields, designed to deliver large-scale battles with plenty of vehicle and infantry combat opportunities. This phase also introduces Strikepoint, a new 4v4 mode that focuses on small-squad tactics and intense objective-based engagements. Rogue Ops aims to blend classic Battlefield-scale warfare with fast-paced team skirmishes, offering variety for both veteran and new players.

Following Rogue Ops, the second phase—California Resistance—is scheduled to launch on November 18. This update expands the game’s map selection with Eastwood, a new battleground set in the suburban streets of Southern California. Players will fight across homes, alleyways, and commercial areas, providing a mix of close-quarters combat and open-field encounters. California Resistance also introduces Sabotage, a game mode that challenges players to destroy as many designated targets as possible within the time limit, adding a layer of strategy and coordination to each match.

The season’s final update, Winter Offensive, will go live on December 9. This phase will bring a range of winter-themed events, cosmetic items, and a frosty transformation of the Empire State map. The update will also include special limited-time challenges and rewards themed around the holiday season, closing out Season 1 with a focus on community engagement and festive gameplay.

Battlefield Studios confirmed that all gameplay-impacting content—such as maps, weapons, and modes—will be free or unlockable through in-game progression. This approach continues the studio’s commitment to keeping post-launch content accessible to all players, regardless of edition or platform. Regular updates and balance improvements are also planned as part of the studio’s ongoing live-service support.

Battlefield 6 is currently available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC through Steam, the EA App, and the Epic Games Store. Players can choose between the Standard Edition, priced at $69.99, and the Phantom Edition, priced at $99.99. The Phantom Edition includes the full game, exclusive “Phantom Squad” soldier skins, weapon packs, vehicle skins, and a token for Battlefield Pro, which offers access to the Season 1 Battle Pass, 25 tier skips, exclusive cosmetics, and XP boosts.

With the launch of Season 1, Battlefield Studios sets the stage for a consistent content roadmap that will expand the game with new experiences, keeping the community active through the end of 2025 and beyond.
