v-color Launches OC RDIMM DDR5 Memory for AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO 9000 WX-Series Workstations

v-color Technology Inc. has announced an updated lineup of OC RDIMM DDR5 memory modules designed to complement AMD’s upcoming Ryzen Threadripper PRO 9000 WX-Series “Shimada Peak” processors. The new modules target professional users requiring higher bandwidth, larger capacities, and reliable performance for intensive workloads.

The OC RDIMM DDR5 memory lineup introduces overclocking capabilities up to 8200 MT/s, with modules available in capacities ranging from 16 GB to 256 GB. For system builders, workstation configurations can scale up to 2 TB in 8-channel systems and 1 TB in 4-channel platforms, providing flexibility for applications that demand significant memory resources. Both RGB-enabled modules (16 GB–64 GB) and non-RGB options are available, offering design choices for different workstation environments.

The Shimada Peak platform delivers higher CPU core counts, expanded PCIe lanes, and broader memory bandwidth, requiring robust memory support. v-color has validated its OC RDIMM modules for thermal stability and signal integrity, ensuring consistent operation under heavy workloads. The modules are engineered for tasks such as scientific computing, 3D rendering, simulation workflows, and VFX production pipelines.

Unlike traditional ECC RDIMM, the OC RDIMM series provides lower latency and overclocking flexibility, allowing professionals to fine-tune performance for demanding applications. This advantage supports areas like real-time ray tracing, high-resolution content creation, and data-intensive technical workloads.

With enterprises shifting toward local processing, v-color’s high-speed DDR5 modules are positioned to improve performance in training and inference tasks. Large datasets and deep learning pipelines can be handled on-site without relying exclusively on external cloud resources. This approach helps reduce latency, improve efficiency, and enhance data control within enterprise infrastructure.

All OC RDIMM DDR5 modules are tested through v-color’s internal validation system, including stress testing at high frequency and thermal conditions. Each module includes On-Die ECC and optional custom heatsinks to ensure stability and long-term reliability.

The v-color Shimada Peak OC RDIMM DDR5 memory series will be available starting in Q3 2025 through v-color’s website, Amazon, Newegg, and authorized distributors worldwide. Validation kits and integration support for system builders will also be offered.
