Phanteks Introduces EX-Series PC Case at Computex 2026 with Compartmentalized Airflow Design

At Computex 2026, Phanteks introduced its new EX-Series PC Case lineup, focusing on a redesigned internal structure that prioritizes compartmentalized airflow and thermally isolated zones. The new platform marks a shift away from traditional multi-fan layouts, instead relying on a more structured cooling approach that separates major heat sources such as the CPU, GPU, PSU, and motherboard components into dedicated airflow sections.

The core idea behind the EX-Series is to reduce internal air recirculation and improve cooling efficiency through natural convection. Instead of depending heavily on multiple intake and exhaust fans, the chassis uses a side-mounted airflow system that directs fresh air toward key components like VRMs, memory modules, and M.2 storage. This method is intended to stabilize temperatures in high-load scenarios while keeping internal airflow paths cleaner and more controlled.

The EX-Series is split into two main product families, EX5 and EX6, targeting different performance and pricing segments. The EX6 stands as the flagship range with aluminum construction, expanded cooling support, and premium design elements for high-end systems. The EX5 uses steel construction but retains the same thermal architecture and airflow philosophy, making the design accessible to a wider audience.

Both series are available in multiple configurations, with MAX variants introducing additional ecosystem features such as LCDs, advanced monitoring, and integrated cooling solutions. The EX6 MAX further expands this with a 10-inch display and enhanced system integration features aimed at showcase builds.

Key features across the EX-Series include:

  • Compartmentalized airflow architecture with independent thermal zones
  • Direct fresh-air intake channels for CPU, GPU, and PSU
  • Side-mounted cooling system for the motherboard and storage components
  • Natural convection-based airflow optimization
  • Tempered glass or aluminum showcase design, depending on model
  • High compatibility for large GPUs and liquid cooling systems
  • Integrated system monitoring through the NEXLINQ platform
  • Optional LCD integration (6-inch and 10-inch, depending on variant)
  • Premium AIO liquid cooling support with custom routing options
  • Smart lighting and telemetry synchronization features

Phanteks has positioned the EX-Series as a unified chassis platform rather than a single case release, with scalable features across different tiers. The EX5 lineup is expected to arrive in August in black color variants, while the EX6 Series is scheduled for September in stone gray finishes. Pricing starts at $109.99 / €109.99 for the EX5 and goes up to $329.99 / €329.99 for the EX6 MAX.

With this launch, the company continues its focus on performance-driven case engineering, where airflow efficiency and structural design play a central role in modern PC building trends.
