YUNZII is expanding its mechanical keyboard lineup with the AL98 Pro, a wireless board that combines a compact 96% layout with a full aluminum chassis, hot-swappable switches, and support for polling rates of up to 8,000Hz. The new model is designed for users who want gaming-focused performance without giving up the number pad and additional keys needed for everyday work.
The YUNZII AL98 Pro uses a 96% or 1800-style layout with more than 100 keys, keeping the navigation cluster and dedicated numpad while taking up less desk space than a traditional full-size keyboard. A rotary knob is also positioned at the top of the board for quick control over functions such as volume and other customizable commands.
Under the chassis, YUNZII uses a gasket-mounted structure intended to provide a softer typing experience. The keyboard also supports hot-swappable 3-pin and 5-pin mechanical switches, giving users the option to change switches without replacing the entire PCB. The included linear switches are factory lubricated, while the board supports customization through compatible software.
Gaming is one of the main areas where the AL98 Pro is positioned against other enthusiast keyboards. Its Dual 8K polling support allows a polling rate of up to 8,000Hz in supported modes, reducing the time between keyboard input and the system receiving that input. The keyboard also supports full N-key rollover and anti-ghosting.
Wireless connectivity is handled through 2.4GHz and Bluetooth 5.0, while a USB-C connection provides wired operation. The AL98 Pro can switch between multiple connected devices, making it suitable for users who move between a gaming PC, laptop, tablet, or other compatible devices.
