Epomaker has expanded its gaming peripheral lineup with the launch of the NEX Pro wireless gaming mouse. The new Gaming Mouse is aimed at users looking for high-end gaming hardware, combining a flagship PixArt PAW3950 optical sensor with the Nordic 54L15 microcontroller. The combination enables an 8,000Hz polling rate while offering tracking specifications that meet the demands of competitive gaming.

The PixArt PAW3950 sensor supports a maximum sensitivity of up to 42,000 DPI, tracking speeds of up to 750 IPS, and acceleration of up to 50G. These specifications are designed to provide accurate tracking across a wide range of gaming genres, from fast-paced shooters to multiplayer online battle arena and real-time strategy titles. The Nordic 54L15 MCU also allows the mouse to take advantage of the high polling rate, reducing the delay between mouse movement and on-screen response on supported systems.

The NEX Pro features a right-handed ergonomic shape intended for medium-to-large hands. It measures 122 × 65 × 42 mm and weighs a claimed 65 grams. While Epomaker describes the mouse as ultra-lightweight, its weight places it in the middle of the current wireless gaming mouse market, where many competing models are available in both lighter and heavier designs.
Epomaker has equipped the mouse with two programmable side buttons along with an additional programmable button positioned behind the scroll wheel, giving users more options for shortcuts and in-game commands. The company has not disclosed the exact mechanical switches used for the primary buttons but says they are rated for a lifespan of up to 100 million clicks.

The NEX Pro supports both low-latency 2.4GHz wireless connectivity and Bluetooth, allowing users to switch between gaming PCs and other compatible devices. A built-in 500mAh battery powers the mouse, with Epomaker claiming up to 50 hours of battery life while operating at the maximum 8,000Hz polling rate.
Another feature included with the package is a color-matched magnetic charging dock. Besides charging the mouse, the dock also functions as a desktop stand and includes customizable RGB underglow that adds lighting effects to a gaming setup.
