Acer has finally brought its custom Predator BiFrost RX 9070 OC graphics cards to market, weeks after other manufacturers released their own takes on AMD’s latest RDNA 4-based lineup. The company’s entry into the new generation of GPUs has been relatively quiet, with initial press announcements arriving after many of its competitors had already begun shipping retail units.
The Predator BiFrost RX 9070 OC 16 GB and Nitro RX 9070 OC 16 GB models represent Acer’s first non-XT offerings based on AMD’s RDNA 4 architecture. While these cards were previewed shortly after AMD’s launch of the RX 9000 series, actual availability has been limited until now. Japanese retailers have started listing the Predator BiFrost RX 9070 OC at ¥128,800, including tax, which translates to around $902 USD. This pricing puts the card firmly in the premium bracket, although final pricing may vary based on regional taxes and shipping.
In Europe, the situation appears to be improving. Online aggregator Geizhals has begun showing availability of both the BiFrost and Nitro models in Germany and Austria. Among the listings, GALAXUS currently offers the Predator BiFrost RX 9070 OC for €709 including VAT, while the Nitro RX 9070 OC can be found at PLAYOX and Office-Partner.de for €669, with a minor €4.99 processing fee added at checkout.

One point of distinction between Acer’s XT and non-XT models lies in the power delivery. The Predator BiFrost RX 9070 OC variants use a dual 8-pin power connector setup, compared to the three connectors used in higher-end XT versions. This may suggest slightly lower power targets, aligning with the cards’ positioning below the top-tier segment. Clock speeds and thermal performance details have not been widely published, although overclocked factory settings are confirmed for both product lines.
Acer has not provided any official comment explaining the delays in bringing these cards to retail. Speculation among industry observers points to supply chain bottlenecks or internal timing decisions as possible factors. Some analysts believe that Acer may have prioritized XT-class models during the initial wave to align with enthusiast market demand before shifting attention to mainstream SKUs.

Interestingly, Yeston, a brand typically known for unconventional GPU designs, had previously indicated that Radeon RX 9070 series shipments would stabilize after April. Their forecast appears to be accurate, as more custom cards from various partners, including Acer, are now arriving at retailers.
As of now, broader international availability remains limited, but signs point to a gradual rollout over the coming weeks. Customers interested in Acer’s take on the RX 9070 should monitor regional listings closely, as pricing and stock levels may vary considerably across markets.
