The new docking station combines Thunderbolt 5, multi-display support, high-speed networking, memory card readers, an NVMe expansion slot, and a 5-inch touchscreen in one unit. While its standard price is $649, an early-bird crowdfunding offer cuts the price to $479, making it considerably cheaper than its planned retail price.
The PexarBolt Ultra is built around three Thunderbolt 5 ports capable of up to 80Gbps bandwidth. The dock can deliver up to 140W of power to a connected laptop, while downstream devices can receive up to 15W. For users running multiple monitors, Lexar says the dock can handle up to two 8K 60Hz displays or three 4K 144Hz displays through its DisplayPort 2.1 and HDMI 2.1 connectivity.

The M.2 slot adds another useful option for users who want to keep fast storage connected to their desktop setup instead of relying on an external SSD.
The 5-inch touchscreen is another unusual part of the PexarBolt Ultra. It can show information including the number of connected devices, power output, and transfer speeds, giving users a quick way to check what the dock is doing.
