XINMENG C101 Mechanical Keyboard Launches With 98% Layout and 1,000-Hour Battery

If you are looking for a mechanical keyboard that keeps the number pad while taking up less desk space than a traditional full-size model, XINMENG’s new C101 is worth a look. The company has launched the C101 with a 98% layout, tri-mode connectivity, hot-swappable switches, a 1000Hz polling rate, and a large 3000mAh battery claimed to deliver up to 1,000 hours of continuous use.

The XINMENG C101 uses a PC and ABS body wrapped with a high-light-transmittance layer, giving the keyboard a design that works with its integrated lighting. The internal construction uses a top-mounted structure and a 1.2mm single-key slotted PCB. The PCB supports hot-swappable switches, so users can replace the installed switches without changing the entire board. It also features lower-facing ARGB LEDs for the keyboard’s lighting effects.

For users who care about typing sound and feel, XINMENG offers the C101 with Peach Silent Switches or TTC Speed Silver Switches. The first option is aimed at quieter typing, while the TTC switches provide a lighter and faster feel that may appeal more to gamers.

The keyboard also includes three layers of damping material inside the case. This should help control some of the noise and vibration produced during typing, although the final sound will also depend on the switches and keycaps selected.

The C101 supports wired, 2.4GHz wireless, and Bluetooth connectivity, giving users multiple ways to connect it to a PC or other compatible devices. Its 1000Hz polling rate is also designed with gaming in mind, while features such as SOCD, MT, TGL, and CB provide additional options for configuring key behavior.

The 3000mAh battery is one of the more interesting specifications. XINMENG claims up to 1,000 hours of continuous use, although battery life will vary depending on the connection mode, RGB lighting, and other settings.

Keycap options are also part of the C101 lineup. The Cat Ear Edition comes with MOA-height PBT double-shot keycaps. The Sea Salt Bubble Edition uses original CHERRY-height five-sided dye-sublimation keycaps with UV pad printing, while the Elf Milkshake Edition features MOA-height five-sided dye-sublimation keycaps.

Its combination of a 98% layout, gaming-focused 1000Hz polling, tri-mode connectivity, hot-swap support, and a large battery gives it a broad feature set, while the different keycap and exterior designs target buyers who want something less conventional. Pricing and availability details will determine how competitive the C101 is against other 96% and 98% mechanical keyboards already available.
