SAPPHIRE Technology has expanded its motherboard portfolio with the launch of the NITRO+ B850A WIFI 7, a new ATX board built on the AMD B850 chipset. The motherboard is designed to support the latest AMD AM5 processors, offering modern connectivity and performance features for gaming and professional workloads.
The NITRO+ B850A WIFI 7 comes with a 12+2+1 phase VRM design, delivering 55A per phase, with an emphasis on thermal stability through extended heatsinks for the VRM, PCH, and M.2 slots. This cooling approach ensures efficient heat dissipation during demanding applications and overclocking scenarios.
In terms of memory, the motherboard supports up to 256 GB DDR5 across four DIMMs, with overclocking capabilities reaching 8000 MHz when two DIMMs are installed. For storage and expansion, it includes PCIe 5.0 x16 for graphics cards and PCIe 5.0 M.2 slots for next-generation SSDs. Additional features include a debug LED for troubleshooting, multiple USB ports, and video output options via HDMI 1.4 and DisplayPort 1.2, depending on CPU support.
Networking capabilities are strengthened with WiFi 7 integration, ensuring faster and more stable wireless connections, alongside standard wired LAN. Firmware support comes through SAPPHIRE CORE BIOS, which offers tools for system tuning, overclocking, and hardware monitoring. The BIOS interface allows users to configure boot options, manage security settings, and customize system profiles.
SAPPHIRE also launched the updated TriXX-M utility software, enabling hardware monitoring, ARGB lighting control, and real-time cooling adjustments within one application.
