Valkyrie has revealed the full specifications of its VK 99 V2 series, giving PC gamers a closer look at a mechanical keyboard lineup built around high polling rates, wireless connectivity, extensive key customization, and unusually large battery capacities. While the company has detailed the hardware and features, pricing has not been announced yet.
The VK 99 V2 uses a 98-key, 98-pin layout with a vertical volume knob and a lighting system that combines a continuous light column around the skylight corridor with RGB illumination in the lower section. Valkyrie also says the keyboard supports AI-driven creative lighting effects and music-reactive lighting, adding software-based customization to the hardware.

Under the keycaps, the VK 99 V2 uses a Gasket structure with a full-key hot-swappable PCB and a horizontally slotted PC positioning plate. The keyboard comes with original CHERRY-height keycaps and is designed to support a range of switch configurations without requiring soldering.
Gaming performance is another major focus. The keyboard supports an 8,000Hz polling rate in both USB-C and 2.4GHz modes. Valkyrie claims a response time of below 0.1ms over USB-C and 0.24ms using 2.4GHz wireless. It also supports SOCD, MDS, and MT functions, giving users additional ways to configure key inputs for gaming.
The standard VK 99 V2 is available in Silver Wing and Shadow color schemes. It comes with Gateron Grey Rock switches, PC matte keycaps, and a 10,000mAh battery.

The VK 99 MAX V2 is positioned as the higher-end version and is offered in Merlin and Loki themes. Depending on the version, users get Huanuo Yingnuo or Speed Pro switches, along with five-sided dye-sublimated keycaps. The MAX model also adds a 1.47-inch vertical IPS smart display and increases the battery capacity to 12,000mAh.
Battery life is particularly interesting with the VK 99 MAX V2. Valkyrie claims that the 12,000mAh model can reach up to 12,000 hours of battery life over Bluetooth with static core mode enabled. At 2.4GHz with a 1,000Hz polling rate, the claimed runtime reaches up to 5,500 hours.
Valkyrie has yet to reveal pricing or availability for the VK 99 V2 series, so it remains to be seen how the new keyboards will be positioned against other high-polling-rate gaming keyboards when they reach the market.
