Xiaomi Gaming Mouse 2 has officially entered crowdfunding through Xiaomi Youpin in China, adding another option to the growing lightweight wireless gaming mouse segment. Xiaomi has listed the mouse with a suggested retail price of 399 yuan (around $55 USD), while crowdfunding participants can purchase it at a reduced 349 yuan price (roughly $48 USD) during the campaign period.
The new gaming mouse focuses on combining low weight with high-speed wireless performance. Xiaomi says the Gaming Mouse 2 weighs only 58 grams, placing it among the lighter gaming mice currently available in the market. The company mentions that the internal structure has been redesigned to reduce overall weight while maintaining durability for long-term use.

Xiaomi has also included an ergonomic shell design intended to support multiple grip styles, including palm grip, claw grip, and fingertip grip. The mouse additionally features durable primary switches and a smoother scroll wheel mechanism aimed at improving daily usability during gaming and productivity workloads.
On the hardware side, the Gaming Mouse 2 uses the PixArt PAW3955XM flagship sensor alongside the Telink TL3228 main controller. Xiaomi claims the mouse supports a native dual 8000Hz polling rate in both wired and wireless modes. Higher polling rates can reduce input latency and improve cursor responsiveness, particularly in competitive multiplayer games where fast movement tracking matters.

The company also advertises tracking performance reaching over 20,000 FPS, positioning the mouse toward users looking for high-speed tracking accuracy. While Xiaomi has not shared full DPI specifications yet, the use of the PAW3955XM sensor suggests performance aimed at the enthusiast gaming segment.
Connectivity options include wired USB, 2.4GHz wireless, and Bluetooth 6.1 tri-mode support. Users can quickly switch between different devices depending on their setup, making the mouse suitable for gaming PCs, laptops, tablets, and other compatible hardware.

Battery life is another key area for the Gaming Mouse 2. Xiaomi has equipped the device with a 530mAh battery and claims up to 160 hours of battery life in 2.4GHz wireless mode when operating at a 1000Hz polling rate. Actual endurance may vary depending on usage patterns, polling rate settings, and wireless mode selection.
The release of the Xiaomi Gaming Mouse 2 comes as competition in the gaming peripheral market continues to shift toward lighter designs, higher polling rates, and flexible wireless connectivity. More brands are now focusing on esports-oriented features while attempting to balance battery life and portability for everyday users.
