MAXSUN Launches MS-eSport B850M WIFI6E Micro-ATX Motherboard With DDR5-8000 Support and PCIe Gen5

MAXSUN has introduced a new addition to its AMD motherboard lineup with the launch of the MS-eSport B850M WIFI6E. Released on May 9, the Micro-ATX motherboard is built around AMD’s B850 chipset and targets users planning compact gaming or productivity systems based on Ryzen 9000 processors.

The company says the motherboard is capable of handling full-performance operation for AMD’s Ryzen 7 9850X3D and Ryzen 9 9900X3D processors. To support these high-end chips, MAXSUN has equipped the board with an 8+2+1 phase power design using 50A DrMOS components for the CPU core.

The MS-eSport B850M WIFI6E uses a compact 220mm-wide Micro-ATX layout and comes with a 2DIMM memory design. MAXSUN is using a 1DPC/1SPC memory slot arrangement, allowing support for DDR5 memory overclocking speeds of up to 8000 MT/s. Two DDR5 UDIMM slots are included on the motherboard.

For graphics and add-in cards, the board features one PCIe Gen5 x16 slot connected directly to the processor. A secondary PCIe Gen4 x4 slot is also available in a full-length physical form factor.

Storage support includes three M.2 slots in total. The primary M.2 2280 slot supports PCIe Gen5 x4 speeds and is directly connected to the CPU, while the remaining two M.2 2280 slots operate at PCIe Gen4 x4 speeds. Users also get two SATA III 6Gbps ports for additional storage devices.

Networking options include a Realtek RTL8111M controller for wired Gigabit Ethernet connectivity. Wireless connectivity is handled by the MediaTek MT7922 module, offering support for Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2.

Audio is powered by the Realtek ALC897 codec, a commonly used solution for mainstream desktop motherboards.

MAXSUN has also included several connectivity options across both the rear and internal I/O. Internal headers include one USB-C 5Gbps connector, one USB-A 5Gbps splitter header with dual-port support, two USB 2.0 splitter headers, and dual ARGB connectors for lighting accessories.

On the rear I/O panel, users will find one USB-C 5Gbps port, two USB-A 5Gbps ports, four USB 2.0 ports, an HDMI 1.4 output, a Gigabit Ethernet port, Wi-Fi antenna connectors, and three audio jacks.

The motherboard also features MAXSUN’s “Uranus ice blue star ring” visual design, combining silver and blue accents across the heatsinks and PCB covers.

With support for PCIe Gen5 graphics and storage, DDR5 memory overclocking, and Ryzen 9000 X3D processors, the MS-eSport B850M WIFI6E enters the market as another compact AMD platform aimed at gamers and PC builders looking for next-generation features in a smaller form factor. Pricing details have not yet been revealed.
