Xbox is giving gaming setups a different look this week. The Designed for Xbox Cozy Collection is now available, bringing together new peripherals from 8BitDo, SteelSeries and KontrolFreek with woodland-inspired designs, softer colors and features aimed at both Xbox and PC players. Rather than launching another collection built around aggressive RGB styling, Microsoft is targeting players who prefer a more relaxed setup without giving up modern gaming hardware.
The collection includes three products from 8BitDo: the Retro 87 Mechanical Keyboard – Forest Wonder, Retro R8 Mouse – Forest Wonder, and Ultimate 3 Controller – Mossy Lagoon. The Retro 87 uses Kailh tactile switches and includes RGB backlighting, an independent control panel, and programmable Super Buttons. The matching Retro R8 Mouse adds four programmable side buttons and comes with a charging dock, while both peripherals use the same Forest Wonder design.
The Ultimate 3 Controller takes a different color direction with its Mossy Lagoon finish. It features an improved grip, adjustable joystick tension, and a wireless charging dock. The controller supports 2.4GHz wireless and wired connections on Xbox and PC, along with Bluetooth connectivity for compatible mobile devices. That makes it one of the more versatile products in the new lineup.
SteelSeries is also part of the launch with its Arctis GameBuds, available in Matcha and Yuzu finishes. The gaming earbuds include Active Noise Cancellation, Quick-Switch 2.4GHz wireless, Bluetooth 5.3, and 360-degree Spatial Audio. SteelSeries also provides more than 200 audio presets through the Arctis Companion App. Battery life is rated at up to 10 hours per charge and 40 hours with the charging case, while the case supports Qi wireless charging. The earbuds also carry an IP55 water and dust resistance rating.
KontrolFreek rounds out the collection with its No-Slip Thumb Grips – Xbox Cozy Edition. The grips use the company’s GripTek material and come in the same Matcha and Yuzu color combination. They are designed to give Xbox controllers additional grip while keeping the visual theme consistent with the rest of the collection.
The collection is available now through the participating brands. Current reported pricing includes $119.99 for the 8BitDo Retro 87, $59.99 for the Retro R8 Mouse, $99.99 for the Ultimate 3 Controller, and $12.99 for the KontrolFreek thumb grips. SteelSeries lists the Arctis GameBuds at $199.99 in the US, although prices can vary by market.
For players looking to build a coordinated gaming desk, the lineup offers several ways to do it without buying an entire set of accessories. The 8BitDo keyboard and mouse share a Forest Wonder theme, while the controller, earbuds, and thumb grips use their own colors within the wider Cozy Collection.
