WLMOUSE Launches BEAST X V2 Gaming Mouse Comes in Mini, Med, and Max Sizes With PAW3955HS Sensor

WLMOUSE is bringing its BEAST X V2 Gaming Mouse to competitive players with Mini, Med, and Max three different sizes, a magnesium alloy shell, an 8K wireless connection, and PixArt’s PAW3955HS sensor. The new Gaming Mouse is also available in a Black & Gold design created as part of the company’s collaboration with esports player TheShy.

The BEAST X V2 is designed for users who want a lightweight mouse without moving to a single fixed shape. WLMOUSE offers the Mini, Med, and Max versions, with weights ranging from 41 grams to 48 grams. The Mini measures 116 × 58 × 35 mm and weighs 41 ± 2 grams, while the Med measures 122 × 62 × 37 mm and weighs 45 ± 2 grams. The Max is the largest model at 126 × 65 × 39 mm and weighs 48 ± 2 grams.

The hardware remains largely the same across the three sizes. Each model uses the PAW3955HS optical sensor, Nordic’s 54LM20 MCU, OMRON optical main switches, and a RAESHA optical encoder. The sensor supports a configurable range of 50 to 50,000 DPI, while tracking performance reaches up to 800 IPS. The mouse can also run at up to 8,000Hz polling rate over both 2.4 GHz wireless and USB Type-C wired connections.

Battery life varies considerably depending on the selected polling rate. WLMOUSE rates the 300mAh battery for around 180–200 hours at 1,000Hz, 90–100 hours at 2,000Hz, 50–65 hours at 4,000Hz, and approximately 24–30 hours at 8,000Hz. This gives users the option to prioritize battery life or higher polling performance depending on the game and setup.

The BEAST X V2 also changes the construction compared with the earlier BEAST X. WLMOUSE has used a thicker magnesium alloy shell and added reinforcement ribs, while the top shell features smaller cutouts and beveled edges. The battery and wiring are covered beneath the shell, and the company has also added sensor protection. A flat base gives users more flexibility when positioning replacement mouse skates.

The three sizes are aimed at different hand dimensions. WLMOUSE recommends the Mini for hands below 17.5 cm, with claw and fingertip grips listed for the smaller model. The Med is suggested for 17.5–19 cm hands and supports claw and palm grips, while the Max is intended for hands above 19 cm and is also recommended for claw and palm grips. The company notes that hand width and individual grip preferences can affect the final fit.

Another part of the package is the 8K receiver, which includes a touchscreen display and rear USB ports. The display can show mouse parameters and allows users to personalize it with a custom image, while the rear ports can function as a USB hub for additional devices.

The Black & Gold version is part of the TheShy Signature Edition. Alongside the mouse and 8K receiver, it includes PTFE skates, white dot skates, grip tapes, a USB-C cable, a commemorative metal card, and a TheShy signature postcard.

WLMOUSE lists the Black & Gold BEAST X V2 at $169, with the company also advertising launch pricing from $145 for the first three days. The BEAST X V2 is scheduled to launch on October 8, 2026, at 20:00 BJT (UTC+8). A launch-day promotion includes a $14 discount, while a WL Gaming Sleeve is offered while supplies last. Five randomly selected orders will also receive a postcard personally signed by TheShy.
