VGN Launches V87Pro V2 Keyboard With 8KHz Polling, 0.08ms Latency and 10,000mAh Battery

VGN is pushing its latest mechanical keyboard toward faster wireless performance with the new V87Pro V2, an 80% tri-mode model that combines an 8KHz polling rate with claimed latency as low as 0.08ms. The new keyboard builds on the V87 V2 platform while adding features aimed at gamers who want high-speed wireless input without moving to a full-size keyboard.

The V87Pro V2 uses a tenkeyless-style 80% layout and includes a rotary knob near the top-right corner. It supports USB-C connectivity as well as 2.4GHz wireless and Bluetooth, giving users several ways to connect the keyboard to a PC or other devices. When using the 2.4GHz connection, the keyboard can operate at up to 8KHz, while VGN claims minimum latency of just 0.08ms.

Inside, VGN has used a five-layer gasket-fixing structure. The keyboard also features a PC positioning plate and a single-key slotted PCB, with full hot-swappable switch support. This allows users to replace compatible switches without soldering. Full N-key rollover is also supported for registering multiple simultaneous key presses during gaming.

The V87Pro V2 includes integrated RGB backlighting and keycaps with CHERRY-compliant height. Power comes from a built-in 10,000mAh battery, giving the keyboard a much larger battery capacity than many compact wireless mechanical keyboards. Dual-stage kickstands on the underside provide two additional typing-angle positions.

VGN is offering the V87Pro V2 in three configurations. The Black Gold Mist Transparent version is paired with Lightning Gold switches, while the White Blue Mist Transparent version comes with Cow Pro+ switches. The Pink Blue Gradient version uses Glacier Pro+ switches.

With an 80% layout, high polling rate, hot-swappable PCB, and large battery, the VGN V87Pro V2 is aimed at users who want a wireless gaming keyboard without giving up customization options or a compact desktop footprint.
