SCUF Omega Controller Launches for PS5 and PC With Mechanical Switches and 1K Polling Support

SCUF Gaming has officially launched the SCUF Omega, a new performance-focused gaming controller designed for competitive players across multiple platforms. The controller is officially licensed for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 5 Pro consoles and is also compatible with PC, Mac, iOS, and Android devices.

The new controller joins SCUF’s growing lineup of esports-oriented peripherals and brings several hardware and software upgrades aimed at faster response times, improved customization, and better long-term durability. According to the company, the Omega is built on more than 15 years of controller development and feedback gathered from professional players and competitive gaming communities.

SCUF, which is part of the Corsair family of brands, says the Omega is its most advanced controller released so far. Tobias Brinkmann, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Gaming Peripherals at Corsair, said the controller reflects years of innovation and product refinement focused on improving competitive gameplay experiences. SCUF Omega also introduces Omron mechanical switches for key controls such as the triggers, D-pad, and action buttons. According to the company, these switches are designed to deliver quicker input response and a click feel similar to mechanical gaming mice.

The controller also supports 1K polling in both wired and wireless modes on PC, allowing more frequent communication between the controller and the connected system. This can help reduce input latency during fast-paced gameplay sessions. SCUF has also included 11 extra customizable inputs on the Omega. These include rear paddles, side action buttons, and dedicated G-keys that can be remapped for different gameplay styles and genres.

The company is also expanding customization options through the SCUF mobile app, available on iOS and Android platforms. Through the app, players can adjust thumbstick sensitivity, trigger response curves, deadzones, and button mapping directly from their smartphones. SCUF says the app allows real-time adjustments without interrupting gameplay, giving users more flexibility to fine-tune controls based on different games or playstyles.

SCUF is also introducing TMR thumbsticks, aiming to improve long-term durability while keeping the familiar response and feel of traditional analog sticks. According to the company, the new sticks are built for smoother and more precise movement control, while also reducing wear over extended gaming sessions.

The Omega also introduces a revised ergonomic design focused on comfort and control during long gaming sessions. The controller includes an optimized grip layout and improved paddle positioning to make additional inputs easier to access. SCUF has also removed vibration modules from the controller to reduce overall weight and minimize interruptions during aiming and competitive gameplay. The controller features a built-in rechargeable battery with fast charging support.

The SCUF Omega became available globally starting May 12, 2026. It supports PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Pro, PC, Mac, iOS, and Android devices. Pricing details may vary depending on region and configuration options.
