Razer is entering a new phase of its mechanical keyboard lineup with the Reclusa X Mini 65%, a compact gaming keyboard designed to give enthusiasts more control over how their board sounds, feels, and performs. As the first model in the new Reclusa family, the 65% keyboard combines Razer’s gaming features with hardware that can be modified without requiring soldering.
The Reclusa X Mini 65% arrives with Razer Orange Tactile Mechanical Switches Gen-3 installed from the factory. These switches provide a tactile bump while using a quieter actuation, and they are factory-lubricated for a smoother keypress. Razer has also added dual-layer silicone dampening inside the keyboard to reduce resonance and hollow sounds, giving the board a more controlled acoustic profile.
The keyboard uses durable doubleshot ABS keycaps with a tri-tone design, while the hot-swappable PCB supports most industry-standard 3-pin and 5-pin mechanical switches. This allows users to replace the factory switches with alternatives that offer different levels of tactility, actuation, or sound without modifying the PCB with a soldering iron.
Lighting and aftermarket customization are also part of the design. South-facing LEDs provide wider compatibility with third-party keycaps, while per-key Razer Chroma RGB offers 16.8 million colors and dynamic lighting effects through Razer’s software ecosystem.
The Reclusa X Mini 65% is not limited to typing and customization. Razer has included Snap Tap, Snap Flex, and Dual-Keypress Priority, giving the keyboard several gaming-oriented input features for fast-paced titles. It also uses a wired connection with a 1,000 Hz polling rate and works with Razer Synapse.
