Razer has announced the Kraken Kitty V3, a wired RGB gaming headset designed for streamers and content creators. The new model continues the company’s Kraken Kitty series with its signature illuminated cat ears, customizable RGB earcups, and features aimed at gaming, livestreaming, and online communication.
The Razer Kraken Kitty V3 uses USB Type-C connectivity for compatible PCs and mobile devices, allowing users to connect the headset without a separate audio interface. Its fixed USB-C cable also supports portable lighting when connected to a compatible power bank, making it suitable for conventions, cosplay events, and other gatherings. Three onboard lighting presets let users switch between effects while away from their usual desktop setup.
Razer Chroma RGB powers the headset’s illuminated ears and earcups, with support for 16.8 million colors. Users can customize the lighting to match their gaming setup or streaming identity. Through Razer’s Streamer Companion app, the lighting can also react to stream alerts, emotes, and chat activity, allowing audience interactions to trigger visual effects during livestreams.
For audio, the Kraken Kitty V3 features Razer TriForce 40 mm drivers, which use a three-part design intended to improve the separation of high, mid, and low frequencies. The headset also supports 7.1 surround sound for positional audio in compatible gaming setups.
The microphone is Razer’s HyperClear Cardioid Mic, designed to prioritize the user’s voice while reducing unwanted background noise. This should help streamers and gamers maintain clearer communication during broadcasts and multiplayer sessions.
Razer has equipped the Kraken Kitty V3 with hybrid fabric and leatherette ear cushions to provide comfort during extended use while offering passive noise isolation. The combination of customizable lighting, a dedicated microphone, and USB-C connectivity makes the headset an option for creators who want gaming audio features alongside a recognizable design.
Razer has not confirmed the Kraken Kitty V3’s price or release date in the announcement details provided.
