MiraBox has launched the Mira75, a 75% mechanical keyboard that combines a traditional mechanical keyboard layout with an ultra-wide interactive display. The company has taken the project to Kickstarter, where the keyboard is being presented as a desktop device that goes beyond typing by adding customizable visuals, touch interaction, typing effects, and software-based controls.
The MiraBox Mira75 features a wide display built into the area above the keyboard. The screen can show animated themes, dynamic backgrounds, desktop information, and other customizable content. It also supports visual effects that react to keystrokes, adding an interactive element while typing.
MiraBox has included several interactive elements in the software experience. The display can show desktop pets that respond to touch, while built-in typing mini-games can display typing speed, accuracy, scores, and personal best results. The company also plans to expand the available themes and interactive content through software updates.
The keyboard itself uses a compact 75% layout, keeping dedicated arrow keys and commonly used function keys while taking up less desk space than a full-size model. Mira75 also supports hot-swappable mechanical switches, so users can replace compatible switches without soldering. A gasket-mounted structure and multiple internal dampening layers are used as part of the keyboard’s construction.
RGB lighting is also part of the design. MiraBox is using transparent PC keycaps to let more light pass through the keys, while multiple RGB effects can be adjusted by users. A rotary control knob is positioned on the right side for functions such as volume adjustment.
The Mira75 is currently a wired keyboard and connects through USB-C. MiraBox says the wired connection is intended to provide a stable typing experience and reliable display performance. The keyboard is planned to work with Windows and macOS, although some customization features require the company’s Stream Dock software.
MiraBox is also building the Mira75 around its software ecosystem. The company has previously worked on keyboards and desktop control products that use screens and customizable controls, and the Mira75 follows the same general direction while placing a much wider display above a conventional mechanical keyboard layout.
The Kickstarter campaign has already passed its initial funding target. Current campaign tracking shows the project well above its $13,000 goal, although crowdfunding figures can change throughout the campaign.
MiraBox is positioning the Mira75 for gaming, productivity, content creation, and general desktop use. The screen may appeal to users who want additional visual feedback or desktop controls without adding a separate monitor or control panel to their setup. At the same time, the 75% layout and hot-swappable switch design keep the product closer to a conventional mechanical keyboard than a dedicated touchscreen control device.
The company has not confirmed VIA or QMK support for the Mira75. According to its Kickstarter FAQ, the keyboard is mainly designed around MiraBox’s own customization software, with VIA/QMK support to be confirmed in a future update if it becomes available.

The MiraBox Mira75 is now available through its Kickstarter campaign, giving backers the opportunity to support the project before production.
