Keychron Launches Z11 Ultra 8K Mechanical Keyboard With Alice Layout and 8K Polling

Keychron has officially announced the upcoming launch of its new Z11 Ultra 8K mechanical keyboard, which is scheduled to arrive across all platforms on May 13. The new model joins the company’s growing Z Ultra 8K lineup and brings a compact Alice-style layout paired with high-speed wireless performance and an ergonomic design.

According to details shared by the company, the Z11 Ultra 8K adopts a flat split structure inspired by the compact Alice layout. The keyboard removes the traditional Fn keypad area while slightly separating the left and right typing sections to provide a more comfortable hand position. This design has become increasingly popular among enthusiasts and professional users looking to reduce wrist strain during extended gaming or typing sessions.

Keychron is also positioning the Z11 Ultra 8K as a premium option within its lineup. The keyboard carries the “Aluminum Tube” branding, suggesting a metal-focused chassis design similar to several of the company’s enthusiast-grade products. In addition, the keyboard is expected to include a ball-bearing quick-release system, which could make customization and internal access easier for users interested in modifying their keyboard setup.

The Z11 Ultra 8K will support tri-mode connectivity, allowing users to switch between wired USB-C, 2.4GHz wireless, and Bluetooth connections. Keychron confirmed that both the wired and 2.4GHz wireless modes will support an 8,000Hz polling rate. High polling rate support has become a key feature in modern gaming keyboards, particularly among competitive players looking for lower input latency and faster response times.

The Z11 Ultra 8K also uses ZMK firmware, a platform designed for low-power wireless operation and efficient battery management. Compared to many traditional high-performance wireless keyboards, ZMK-based models can offer longer battery life while still delivering responsive performance.

Internally, the keyboard is also expected to feature multiple layers of sound-dampening padding. This construction method has become common in enthusiast mechanical keyboards, helping reduce unwanted vibration and improving overall typing acoustics.

Keychron has not yet revealed the complete specifications, switch options, or official pricing for the Z11 Ultra 8K. More details are expected to be shared closer to the official launch date later this week.
