Logitech has introduced the MX Master 4 Developer Edition, a special version of its MX Master 4 wireless mouse that launched in September 2025. Designed as a tribute to developers shaping the digital world, the new edition features programming-inspired artwork and a different color scheme. However, Logitech has kept the hardware and functionality identical to the standard MX Master 4, with no changes to the sensor, scrolling system, battery, or available features.

The MX Master 4 Developer Edition retains an 8,000 DPI sensor and Logitech’s MagSpeed scroll wheel, which can scroll through up to 1,000 lines per second. It also includes built-in haptic feedback and an Action Ring button that provides quick access to shortcuts. The mouse supports multi-device pairing and uses a 650 mAh battery rated for up to 70 days of use on a full charge. USB-C fast charging is also available, giving users the same features and battery life as the regular model.

The main difference is the new design. Logitech has given the Developer Edition a two-tone dark and light gray finish with bright green accents. Its exterior includes laser-etched programming references such as //, </>, circuit traces, and a {Hello, World} execution prompt. The mouse also features several Easter eggs for developers, including 0xFF + 1, a reference to World Programmers’ Day, 09.17, marking the Linux kernel’s initial release date, and !04.01, referencing World Backup Day.
Logitech has kept the price unchanged, listing the MX Master 4 Developer Edition for $120 in the US and €130 in Europe. It also includes a two-year warranty. With no hardware changes or additional cost, the Developer Edition is primarily aimed at programmers and users who prefer its coding-themed appearance over the standard model.
