Lian Li Unveils New Chassis Designs and Cooling Solutions Ahead of COMPUTEX 2025

Although COMPUTEX 2025 does not officially begin until tomorrow, many manufacturers have already started showcasing their latest innovations. Among them is Lian Li, which has drawn attention with several new products and prototypes at its booth, as revealed in a preview video by the YouTube channel Hardware Canucks.

Lian Li’s exhibition includes a redesigned version of its upcoming Lancool 4 case, a new Infinity-themed variant of the Lancool 217, a compact M-ATX PC Case developed in collaboration with Dan Case, and the second-generation HydroShift II all-in-one (AIO) Liquid cooler.

The latest prototype of the Lancool 4 differs significantly from the concept shown earlier this year. The most noticeable change is the increased use of tempered glass, giving it what Lian Li refers to as a “Fish Tank” style. Glass panels now cover the front, sides, and even the rear of the case, offering an unobstructed view of the internal components. However, the expanded use of glass typically poses challenges for thermal performance. To address this, Lian Li has embedded three 140mm fans directly into the front panel and included three additional fan mounts near the power supply chamber on the lower left side.

Also on display is the Lancool 217 Infinity, an enhanced version of the original Lancool 217. This model introduces visual upgrades focused on aesthetics, most notably the addition of two 170mm front intake fans surrounded by mirrored panels. The front design incorporates β€œinfinity mirror” LED lighting strips, which create a layered lighting effect around the fan area, adding a distinct look to the chassis while retaining the airflow capacity of the original model.

The company also highlighted a new M-ATX case, developed in partnership with Dan Case, known for its compact and high-efficiency designs. This case supports both horizontal and vertical orientations. In vertical mode, users can install up to three 120mm fans on the front side, aimed at improving airflow to the graphics card and maintaining thermal stability in compact builds.

In the cooling segment, Lian Li showcased the HydroShift II, its second-generation AIO liquid cooler. Building on the design language introduced with the original short-tube radiator, the HydroShift II features a new circular pump head surrounded by a ring-shaped lighting effect. The screen on the pump head is now rotatable, allowing users to adjust the display orientation by twisting the top cap. Internal cooling performance has also been optimized in this revision.

With COMPUTEX 2025 set to open its doors to the public tomorrow, Lian Li’s early showcase indicates a strong focus on combining aesthetics with function, especially in areas like airflow optimization, compact design, and user customization. More details and hands-on impressions are expected as the event officially kicks off.
