Attack Shark Launches R86 HE Carbon Fiber 75% Magnetic Gaming Keyboard for Competitive Players

Attack Shark has announced the R86 HE Carbon Fiber Magnetic Switch Gaming Keyboard, a new 75% gaming keyboard aimed at competitive players who want fast input response alongside a premium build. The R86 HE is scheduled to launch on September 7, 2026, bringing together a carbon fiber composite chassis, magnetic switches, adjustable actuation, 0.005 mm Rapid Trigger accuracy, and an 8,000 Hz polling rate.

The keyboard uses an 82-key 75% layout, keeping dedicated arrow keys and essential navigation functions while reducing the overall footprint compared with a full-size model. The compact format leaves more room for mouse movement, which can be useful for players using low mouse sensitivity in FPS games, while retaining the keys needed for everyday productivity.

Attack Shark has built the R86 HE around a carbon fiber composite top case paired with anodized CNC-machined aluminum side accents. The forged carbon texture gives the keyboard a distinct appearance, while carbon fiber composite keycaps are designed to provide a consistent feel during gaming and regular typing.

The main focus, however, is the keyboard’s magnetic switch system. Attack Shark claims the R86 HE can deliver 0.005 mm Rapid Trigger accuracy, allowing users to make very fine adjustments to key actuation and reset behavior. Rapid Trigger is particularly relevant to competitive FPS players because it allows a key to react based on movement rather than relying on a fixed reset point.

The keyboard also features a custom esports chipset with 256K scanning and an 8,000 Hz polling rate. Attack Shark claims response times can reach as low as 0.08 ms. These specifications put the R86 HE firmly in the competitive gaming segment, where fast key registration and configurable actuation have become common features on high-end magnetic keyboards.

Attack Shark has also paid considerable attention to the keyboard’s acoustic design. The R86 HE uses five layers of sound-dampening material, including PE foam, IXPE switch pads, PET acoustic film, switch socket foam, and bottom silicone padding. The internal structure is designed to reduce unwanted resonance while producing a cleaner typing sound.

A fiberglass positioning plate is used to add rigidity to the keyboard, while custom Huano Glass Jade magnetic switches provide the main input mechanism. Attack Shark says the switches are tuned to combine fast response with a crisp acoustic profile, giving the keyboard a balance between gaming performance and regular typing.

Users will also be able to customize the magnetic switches through independent curve tuning. The R86 HE supports multiple high-performance magnetic switches, allowing users to adjust actuation behavior based on their preferences and individual keys. This gives competitive players more control over movement and frequently used commands.

RGB lighting is included across the keyboard, with additional dynamic light strips positioned along both sides of the chassis. Web-based and PC software provide controls for key mapping, switch configuration, actuation settings, lighting, and other customization options.
