JONSBO Announces X400 Series PC Chassis with 68 L Volume and Dual ISM Layout

JONSBO has officially launched its new X400 series chassis, continuing the design direction first introduced with the BO400 at the end of 2024. The new lineup includes two versions—X400 Standard and X400 PRO—each designed to meet different user needs while maintaining the brand’s focus on structure, cooling, and accessibility.

The X400 series keeps the recognizable three-dimensional exoskeleton frame introduced in the previous model. The standard version uses ABS engineering plastic panels coated with a metallic finish, while the PRO version adopts a full aluminum-alloy frame similar to the BO400, giving it a more premium appearance and improved rigidity.

Both versions share the same dimensions of 460.2 x 310.3 x 476.5 mm, offering an internal capacity of around 68 liters. This space supports ATX and rear-slot ATX motherboards, as well as graphics cards up to 427mm long, making it suitable for modern high-end GPUs. The chassis panels feature tool-free clip mechanisms for easier installation and removal, while the tempered glass panels on the front sides include a suspension structure that prevents accidental drops when opened. The right side of the front I/O area integrates an ARGB indicator light, allowing users to monitor system lighting or status without external accessories.

The internal layout follows a dual-compartment structure often referred to as a “sea view room” layout. This design separates the power supply and motherboard areas for cleaner airflow and easier cable routing. The chassis can accommodate up to three 120mm fans on the top, bottom, and front right panels, while the rear panel can fit two additional fans.

JONSBO has also included an independent air guide channel for the front fans on the right side panel. The X400 provides two extra 120mm fan mounts on the upper rear part of the right compartment, working with a patented motherboard auxiliary air guide system. This setup helps direct airflow to the left compartment, cooling critical components such as the CPU, memory, and SSDs under heavy workloads.

According to JONSBO, the X400 Space Gray (standard version) and X400 PRO will go on pre-sale starting November 1, 2025. The official prices are 599 yuan (around USD $83) for the X400 and 1,199 yuan (around USD $165) for the X400 PRO. Both versions will initially launch in China, with global availability expected later through authorized distributors.

With the X400 series, JONSBO continues to expand its focus on structural innovation and efficient airflow management. The mix of materials—plastic for affordability and aluminum for durability—gives users flexible options depending on their system-building goals. The spacious interior, extended GPU clearance, and dedicated cooling channels make the X400 and X400 PRO suitable for enthusiasts looking for a balanced mix of design and performance.
