GMKtec Launches EVO-X1 Pro Mini PC With Ryzen AI 9 HX 470, 64GB LPDDR5 Memory, and OCuLink Support

GMKtec has introduced another high-performance mini PC, expanding its growing portfolio of compact desktop systems with the new EVO-X1 Pro. The latest model is powered by AMD’s Ryzen AI 9 HX 470 processor from the Ryzen AI 400 series, delivering a combination of CPU, graphics, and AI performance in a compact system for gaming, productivity, and AI workloads. The launch comes shortly after the company revealed the EVO-X3, which is equipped with the flagship Ryzen AI Max+ 395 processor.

Rather than using AMD’s top-tier Strix Halo processor, the EVO-X1 Pro is built around the Ryzen AI 9 HX 470, a Zen 5-based processor featuring 12 cores and 24 threads. The processor succeeds the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 and is designed to deliver strong multi-core performance while integrating Radeon 890M graphics and a dedicated NPU for AI acceleration. This combination allows the mini PC to handle demanding creative applications, software development, and local AI processing, including large language model (LLM) workloads, without relying entirely on cloud-based services.

For gaming users, the integrated Radeon 890M graphics can run many modern titles at medium to high settings depending on the game and resolution. GMKtec has also included OCuLink connectivity, allowing users to connect an external graphics card for significantly higher gaming or professional GPU performance. This makes the EVO-X1 Pro a flexible solution for users who want the portability of a mini PC while keeping the option to upgrade graphics performance later.

The memory configuration includes 64GB of LPDDR5 memory running at 6400 MT/s. Although the memory is soldered, the large capacity is aimed at creators, developers, and AI users who benefit from high-speed memory during intensive workloads. Storage is provided by a 1TB SSD, offering enough capacity for applications, games, and project files while maintaining fast system responsiveness.

Despite its compact size, the EVO-X1 Pro is designed to deliver desktop-class capabilities. Users looking for a small workstation or gaming system can take advantage of the processor’s Zen 5 architecture, integrated Radeon graphics, AI engine, and external GPU support without sacrificing portability.

Key Highlights:

  • AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 470 processor based on the Zen 5 architecture
  • 12-core, 24-thread CPU configuration

GMKtec has priced the EVO-X1 Pro at 9,999 Yuan, which is approximately US$1,471. While the company has yet to confirm availability outside China, the launch further expands its premium mini PC lineup with another option built around AMD’s latest Ryzen AI processors.
