French studio DON’T NOD has released Aphelion, its latest sci-fi adventure, now available worldwide on PC via Steam, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5. The title launches as an Xbox Play Anywhere release and is included in Xbox Game Pass from day one.
Aphelion takes players to the outer reaches of the solar system, where they step into the roles of ESA astronauts Ariane and Thomas. The story unfolds on Persephone, a remote and largely unexplored planet, following a crash that leaves the crew stranded. From there, the game focuses on exploration, survival, and uncovering the cause behind the incident, while an unknown lifeform adds constant pressure to every step forward.

The game is available in multiple editions at launch. The Standard Edition is priced at €29.99 on Steam and €34.99 on consoles, with a 10% launch discount available for PC and Xbox users. A Day One Edition is also offered on consoles with similar pricing benefits during the launch window, though access on PlayStation is limited to PS+ subscribers for the first day. This edition includes a cosmetics pack featuring two spacesuit variants and six backpack accessories, including stickers and keychains inspired by the European Space Agency partnership and earlier titles like Jusant and Lost Records: Bloom & Rage.

On PC, a Deluxe Edition is available exclusively through Steam at €39.99. It includes the base game, the cosmetics pack, a digital artbook, and the original soundtrack composed by Amine Bouhafa. This version also qualifies for the same launch discount.

In addition to the digital release, a physical PlayStation 5 version, named the Pioneer Edition, is scheduled to arrive on July 2. It includes all Day One Edition content along with an exclusive Hope-01 mission patch sticker created in collaboration with the European Space Agency.
With its release now live, Aphelion expands DON’T NOD’s portfolio of story-driven games, shifting the focus toward a more isolated sci-fi setting while keeping a strong emphasis on narrative and atmosphere.
