Darwin’s Paradox!, a new story-driven adventure platformer developed in partnership with ZDT Studio, is set to release on April 2, 2026. The game will launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and Series S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam. Pre-orders have officially opened ahead of launch, while a playable Tactical Octopus Action Demo is already available for players who want an early look at the experience.
The game follows Darwin, a young octopus exploring the ocean depths, before a sudden beam of light pulls him to the surface. He awakens inside a massive junkyard connected to a mysterious industrial facility. Surrounded by heavy machinery, strange containment tanks, and unfamiliar creatures, Darwin must rely on his intelligence and natural abilities to survive and find a way back home.
Gameplay focuses on movement and adaptation. Darwin can swim through flooded sections, camouflage to avoid detection, and squeeze through tight spaces to bypass threats. The level design mixes platforming challenges with environmental puzzles, requiring players to observe their surroundings and use the octopus’s skills carefully. Traps and mechanical hazards add tension, while hidden paths encourage exploration.
Beyond the platforming mechanics, the narrative plays a central role. As Darwin moves deeper into the factory complex, the story begins to hint at a larger conspiracy tied to the facility and its experiments.
