COLORFUL has officially released a new variant of its high-end iGame GeForce RTX 5080 Vulcan OC graphics card—this time with an all-white design. Named the “Vulcan W,” the card joins the existing black version that debuted earlier this year. While the internal specifications remain the same, the design shift introduces a snow-white finish that aims to appeal to enthusiasts building themed systems or looking for standout hardware aesthetics.

The new Vulcan W retains all the features of the standard Vulcan OC, including the 5th-generation iGame Smart LCD. This screen, mounted on the edge of the card, can be tilted for better visibility depending on the orientation of the build. It allows users to display real-time system data, custom images, or animated content. While functional, this feature also adds a premium visual touch that helps distinguish the Vulcan lineup in a crowded GPU market.

Cooling remains a key focus for the Vulcan series. In a departure from the triple-fan setup on the black model, the white edition introduces a fourth fan. This 107 mm fan is attached to the backplate, positioned to enhance airflow and thermal efficiency. COLORFUL refers to it as a “sickle blade” design, optimized for static pressure and airflow in tighter chassis configurations. The card continues to rely on a massive heatsink array and multiple heatpipes to manage the power draw of the RTX 5080 GPU.
The cooler design shows similarities to the ASUS ROG Astral series, suggesting that COLORFUL may be looking to compete more directly with established players in the premium graphics card segment. While it doesn’t introduce new performance enhancements, the card’s exterior rework signals COLORFUL’s intent to cater to enthusiasts who prioritize both performance and aesthetics.

COLORFUL’s marketing campaign for the white edition puts a heavy emphasis on the design transformation, describing it as a new visual direction for flagship graphics cards. Promotional materials, including high-resolution photography and themed builds, were released alongside the announcement to highlight the contrast against the standard black version.
Retail availability began this week, with the Vulcan W launching across several platforms in China, including COLORFUL’s own webstore, JD, Tmall, and Douyin. The card is priced at 12,999 yuan, which converts to approximately $1,784 USD. That positions it above the pricing of most air-cooled models, targeting users willing to pay a premium for visual customization and high-end cooling.
Tech reviewers have previously praised the performance of the black iGame GeForce RTX 5080 Vulcan OC, though pricing has been a point of contention. With the white edition sharing the same core specifications and adding a fourth fan, performance is expected to be consistent, though buyers will be paying more for the visual upgrade and extra cooling component.
There has been no official word yet on international availability, but given COLORFUL’s push for global recognition, a broader release may follow in the coming months.
