ATK Launches Lightweight A9 Air Wireless Gaming Mouse with High-Speed Sensor

ATK has launched the A9 Air, a new wireless gaming mouse aimed at mid-range users while offering features typically found in higher-end models. The Gaming mouse is built on the ATK Shark MAX platform, measuring 125 × 63.5 × 40 mm, making it suitable for medium to large hands. Despite its compact design, the A9 Air weighs only 47 g, making it one of the lighter options in ATK’s lineup.

The mouse is equipped with a PAW3950 Ultra sensor, capable of delivering up to 30,000 DPI. It supports a tracking speed of 750 IPS and an acceleration of 50 G, providing precise tracking for fast-paced gaming. The Nordic 54L15 controller allows polling rates of up to 8,000 Hz, ensuring consistent responsiveness. ATK’s SwiftLight optical switches provide a 0.181 ms actuation latency, which helps maintain accurate input for competitive gaming.

The A9 Air supports multiple connectivity modes, including wired USB-C, Bluetooth, and 2.4 GHz wireless. ATK has introduced the GEM 8K receiver with this model, offering stable high-speed polling and bidirectional 8-track transmission even in environments with heavy RF interference. This allows gamers to maintain consistent performance without drops or lag.

The mouse also features a TTC Gold scroll wheel and several sets of interchangeable Teflon-based mouse feet, allowing users to adjust the glide experience according to their preference. The A9 Air comes with a 300 mAh battery, rated for up to 300 hours at 1,000 Hz polling. Compared to ATK’s A9 Ultra Max 2.0 and A9 Ultimate models, the A9 Air is lighter, mainly due to its smaller battery capacity. The Ultra Max 2.0 and Ultimate versions feature 800 mAh batteries and weigh 53 g.

In terms of aesthetics, the A9 Air is available in four color options: black, white, midnight white, and phantom orange. The mouse is priced at $79.98 on ATK’s official store, positioning it as a mid-range option with premium features.

Overall, the ATK A9 Air combines a lightweight design, high-speed performance, and multiple connectivity options. Its focus on low-latency components, adjustable glide, and a responsive sensor makes it suitable for gamers looking for precision and flexibility without investing in high-end models. The release highlights ATK’s continued effort to provide advanced gaming peripherals at accessible prices.
