ATK Gear is adding a new charging system to its high-end gaming mouse lineup with the launch of the Dragonfly A9 Ultimate+ Magnetic Charging Dock. The new model combines a high polling rate, a PAW3955MASTER sensor, low claimed latency, and a large battery, while its magnetic charging base is designed to make daily charging less of a chore.

The Dragonfly A9 Ultimate+ uses a newly developed magnetic charging base station. When the mouse is placed on the dock, it can begin charging without requiring a cable to be connected directly to the mouse. ATK also says the system supports automatic pairing, so the mouse can connect to the charging base without requiring users to repeat the pairing process.
On the hardware side, ATK has equipped the mouse with a 54-series main controller and PAW3955MASTER sensor. The company describes this combination as flagship-level hardware, with the sensor aimed at the tracking requirements of competitive gaming.
The Dragonfly A9 Ultimate+ also uses ATK’s Rapid Light Micro-motion technology. ATK claims the mouse can achieve 0.181ms end-to-end latency, while its competitive firmware operates at up to 20,000 FPS. These figures are intended to reduce the time between a user’s input and the corresponding movement or action being registered by the system.

High polling-rate support is another major part of the mouse. The Dragonfly A9 Ultimate+ supports 8000Hz polling in both wired and wireless modes. This allows the mouse to send position updates to the PC more frequently than conventional 1000Hz gaming mice, making the feature particularly relevant to competitive players using high-refresh-rate monitors.
Battery capacity is rated at 500mAh, with ATK claiming up to 350 hours of battery life. The charging dock can also serve as a convenient place to keep the mouse when it is not being used, reducing the need to manually connect a charging cable after long gaming sessions.
The Dragonfly A9 Ultimate+ measures 125 × 63.5 × 40mm, putting it in the medium-to-large hand category. Its dimensions should appeal to users who prefer a fuller-sized gaming mouse rather than smaller designs intended for compact grips.
The ATK Dragonfly A9 Ultimate+ is aimed at gamers who want high polling rates without giving up wireless operation or long battery life. Its magnetic charging dock adds another layer of convenience, while the PAW3955MASTER sensor and 8000Hz support focus on the performance requirements of competitive gaming. ATK has yet to provide further details on pricing and broader availability in the announcement information provided.
