ASUS has officially entered the enthusiast DDR5 memory segment with the launch of its first Republic of Gamers-branded memory kit. The new ROG DDR5 memory modules were recently introduced in China and are aimed at high-end gaming PCs and collectors building fully themed ROG systems.
The launch marks another expansion of the ROG ecosystem, which already includes motherboards, graphics cards, monitors, cooling products, power supplies, and gaming peripherals. Reports from VideoCardz indicate that BIWIN is the OEM partner responsible for manufacturing the memory kits.

ASUS has designed the modules around the company’s signature ROG styling. The heatspreaders feature a black-and-red finish with gold detailing created to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the ROG brand. ASUS is also promoting the memory alongside the limited edition ROG Crosshair X870E Hero 20th Anniversary Edition motherboard for users interested in building a matching anniversary-themed setup.
The kit itself ships with a total capacity of 48 GB using two 24 GB DDR5 DIMMs. ASUS rates the memory at DDR5-6000 speeds with low CL26-36-36-76 timings, placing it among the lower-latency DDR5 kits currently available in the enthusiast market.

The memory modules support both AMD EXPO and Intel XMP profiles, allowing compatibility across current AMD Ryzen and Intel Core desktop platforms. ASUS is also introducing a dedicated “ROG Mode” profile extension that is designed specifically for select ROG motherboards, including ROG Crosshair, ROG Maximus, and ROG Strix models.
According to ASUS, the ROG Mode profile enables optimized memory tuning and special timing configurations directly through supported motherboards. This feature is intended to provide easier performance tuning for users already invested in the ROG hardware ecosystem.

For lighting, the modules include integrated ARGB illumination with support for ASUS Aura Sync. Users can manage lighting effects and synchronization through Armoury Crate, allowing the memory to match other compatible ASUS hardware and peripherals.
The memory kit is positioned as a limited premium offering and carries a price tag of RMB ¥5,999, which converts to approximately USD $880. The pricing places it well above standard enthusiast DDR5 kits currently available in the market.

Alongside the launch, ASUS also announced a new ROG-certified memory program. Under this initiative, third-party memory manufacturers will be able to release ROG-themed DDR5 kits featuring Aura Sync compatibility and support for the company’s custom ROG Mode memory profiles.
With this release, ASUS is extending the ROG brand deeper into the enthusiast PC hardware space while creating a more unified ecosystem for gamers and PC builders looking for matching high-end components.
