ANBERNIC has revealed its latest handheld console, the RG 34XXSP, a compact gaming device that combines the classic clamshell design with updated hardware and features. Known for its retro-inspired consoles, ANBERNIC continues to build on that reputation with a model aimed at fans of portable gaming from the early 2000s.
The RG 34XXSP features a foldable shell design and is offered in four color options: Yellow, Indigo, Black, and Gray. The clamshell form factor, which protects the screen when closed, makes the device easy to carry and store, staying true to the style popularized by older handheld systems.
At the center of the device is a 3.4-inch IPS display with a resolution of 720×480, offering sharp visuals and accurate color reproduction. The screen is particularly well-suited for Game Boy Advance games, which are rendered at a 3x pixel scale to maintain their original look and feel.
Inside, the RG 34XXSP runs on a 64-bit Linux-based system and supports a wide range of classic gaming platforms—over 30 in total. Users can also play ported games such as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge. In addition, the device allows third-party game downloads, with RixelHK providing access to additional content.
The console includes a 5G Wi-Fi module, enabling several online features. With Moonlight support, users can stream games directly from a home PC. Multiplayer gameplay over Wi-Fi is also supported, and video playback is available through WiliWili, an online video platform. These additions give users more flexibility in how they use the device, whether for gaming or entertainment.

For those looking to play on a larger screen, the RG 34XXSP comes with HDMI output, allowing it to connect to TVs or monitors. It also supports Bluetooth 4.2, enabling connection to wireless controllers. This setup turns the handheld into a functional home gaming console for multiplayer sessions or casual couch gaming.
The RG 34XXSP brings together retro design and practical features in a compact package. Its clamshell structure, wide platform support, and added connectivity make it suitable for both on-the-go play and home use. ANBERNIC has yet to announce pricing and release details, but the RG 34XXSP is expected to appeal to both retro enthusiasts and new players looking for a portable solution.
