VGN Launches Dragonfly F2 Turbo+ With PAW3955 EXTREME Sensor and Native Dual 8K Polling

VGN is pushing further into the lightweight gaming mouse market with the launch of the Dragonfly F2 Turbo+, a 51g tri-mode model that combines a custom PAW3955 EXTREME sensor, native wired and wireless 8K polling, and a 500mAh battery. The package also includes the 8K receiver, so buyers do not need to purchase a separate accessory to unlock the mouse’s highest polling rate.

The Dragonfly F2 Turbo+ uses a symmetrical shape developed and refined with input from professional players over two years. VGN has gone with a low-profile front, a slightly wider rear, and a sloping shell designed for fast movement and repeated clicking. According to the company, the front travel has been reduced by around 8mm, while the highest point of the shell has been moved forward to support quicker control.

Despite weighing only 51±3g, the mouse does not use a perforated shell. Instead, VGN has developed a non-porous lightweight structure with an integrated molded top cover and matching base plate. The design keeps the shell closed while reducing unnecessary weight around the internal structure.

Under the hood, the Dragonfly F2 Turbo+ pairs the Nordic 54LM20 main controller with a custom PixArt PAW3955 EXTREME sensor. The sensor supports 1 DPI adjustment step and can be configured up to 50,000 DPI. VGN also lists pixel-level sensitivity adjustment, 11 lift-off distance settings, and a claimed tracking accuracy of 99.98%.

The mouse supports an 8,000Hz polling rate in both wired and wireless modes, with the 8K receiver included as standard. VGN recommends using the highest polling setting with an Intel Core i7-9700K or AMD Ryzen 7 3700X processor or above, 16GB or more RAM, an NVIDIA RTX 2060 or AMD RX 5700 XT-class graphics card, and a display with a refresh rate of at least 240Hz.

The standard configuration uses specially tuned Kailh optical microswitches rated for 160 million clicks. VGN says these switches offer a longer operating life than traditional designs while aiming to maintain a consistent click feel. There is also an Omron mechanical microswitch version rated for 100 million clicks, giving users a choice depending on their preferred button response.

The scroll wheel uses a TTC specially tuned dustproof gold wheel encoder, which VGN says was refined through nearly 1,000 rounds of tuning. The wheel receives a matte UV metallic paint treatment with a protective surface coating designed to improve durability and help keep the finish clean during regular use.

Battery capacity reaches 500mAh on the Turbo+ model, and VGN has included its V-Charge fast-charging technology. The company claims that charging the mouse for just one minute can provide up to 10 hours of use, which could be useful for players who forget to charge their peripherals before a gaming session.

The bottom features enlarged Teflon feet for smoother movement, while the body receives a delicate skin-like coating designed to resist stains and make the surface easier to clean. The mouse also supports V HUB 3.0, VGN’s software platform available through both web and Windows clients. Users can remap buttons, adjust DPI and polling rates, and save settings through onboard storage.
