Xiaomi Redmi Book 14 2027 Confirmed With 2.8K Display and Intel Core 5 320 CPU

Xiaomi has confirmed that its Redmi Book 14 and Redmi Book 16 2027 laptops will launch on October 27 in China. The new laptops will use Intel’s Wildcat Lake Core Series 3 processors, while the Redmi Book 14 has also been confirmed with a 72 Wh battery, LPDDR5X memory, and a 2.8K display. Xiaomi has begun revealing the hardware details ahead of the launch, although pricing and international availability remain unannounced.

The announcement came from the official Redmi account on Weibo, which scheduled the launch event for 7 PM China time alongside the Redmi K100 series. Promotional images confirm that the Redmi Book 14 2027 will use Intel’s Core 5 320 processor. Earlier leaks have also pointed to the same chip for the Redmi Book 16, but Xiaomi has yet to publish the complete specifications for either laptop.

Battery life is one of the main areas Xiaomi is highlighting for the new Redmi Book 14. The laptop includes a 72 Wh battery, with the company claiming up to 20.2 hours of simulated office use and 1.26 days of local video playback. Redmi says the figures reflect its internal testing, so actual battery life will depend on screen brightness, workload, power settings, and other usage conditions.

In its Weibo announcement, Redmi said, “High performance, and even higher energy efficiency.” The company also stated that the laptop’s office-use battery simulation reaches 20.2 hours, adding that the long runtime is intended to let users work and travel with fewer charging interruptions.

The Redmi Book 14 2027 will use LPDDR5X-7467 memory, with a 16 GB configuration confirmed so far. Xiaomi has not yet disclosed whether higher-capacity versions will be available. The display will offer a 2.8K resolution, but details such as panel technology, refresh rate, peak brightness, and color coverage have not been revealed.

Images shared by Redmi show the 14-inch model in a soft pink finish, with rounded edges and a minimalist chassis. A fingerprint reader is positioned above the keyboard, providing biometric authentication. The overall design resembles recent MacBook models, although Xiaomi’s laptop retains a wider selection of physical ports for connecting accessories and external displays.

The pictured Redmi Book 14 includes two USB Type-A ports, two USB Type-C ports, a full-size HDMI output, and a 3.5 mm audio combo jack. At least one USB-C port is expected to handle charging, as the images do not show a traditional barrel-style power connector. Xiaomi has yet to confirm the charging specifications or the capabilities of each port.

Pricing is another detail that remains unknown. For comparison, the previous Redmi Book 14 starts at 6,499 yuan in China with 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. That price provides a reference point for the outgoing model, but it does not confirm how much the 2027 version will cost.

Xiaomi is expected to disclose further information about the Redmi Book 14 and Redmi Book 16 during the October 27 event. The confirmed processor, memory, display resolution, and battery capacity provide an early look at the new lineup, while details about graphics performance, cooling, storage options, and international release plans remain to be announced.
