Keychron has entered the docking station market with the launch of its first Thunderbolt 5 Dock (14-in-1), priced at $349.99. The company, which is best known for mechanical keyboards and mice, is targeting users who need expanded connectivity for laptops, desktops, and professional workflows through a single hub. From a productivity and infrastructure perspective, the dock is positioned as a premium accessory that can reduce cable clutter and potentially replace multiple standalone adapters.

The dock uses a CNC-machined aluminum alloy chassis and features a fanless cooling design, which eliminates moving parts and may reduce long-term maintenance concerns. It can be placed either vertically or horizontally, giving users more flexibility in workspace layouts.
Front-panel connectivity includes:
- 1× USB-C 10Gbps port
- 2× USB-A 10Gbps ports
- SD 4.0 (UHS-II) card reader
- microSD 4.0 (UHS-II) card reader
- Power button and status indicators
Rear-panel connectivity includes:
- 1× Thunderbolt 5 upstream port with 140W Power Delivery
- 3× downstream Thunderbolt 5 ports
- 2× USB-A 10Gbps ports
- 2× HDMI 2.1 TMDS outputs
- 1× 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet (RJ45) port
- 2× Kensington security lock slots

For professionals managing multiple displays, external storage, and high-speed networking, the dock consolidates several functions into one device. The 140W charging capability may also reduce the need for separate laptop power adapters in compatible setups. However, the $349.99 price places it firmly in the premium category, meaning the value proposition will depend on whether users can replace several existing adapters and docks with a single Thunderbolt 5 solution.

Keychron’s move into docking stations expands its desktop accessory portfolio beyond input devices and positions the company to compete in the growing market for high-performance workstation connectivity products.
