MINIX has announced the ER939-AI Pro, a new compact AI workstation based on AMD’s latest Strix Halo platform. The system combines high-performance hardware with a small footprint, targeting developers, AI researchers, content creators, and professionals looking for workstation-level performance in a portable desktop form factor.
The ER939-AI Pro comes in a silver-white metal chassis with a volume of just 2.75 liters. MINIX has equipped the system with a built-in carrying handle on the top, making it easier to transport between workspaces or deployment locations. While compact, the Mini PC offers specifications typically found in much larger desktop systems.
Powering the workstation is AMD’s Ryzen AI Max+ 395 processor. The chip is paired with 128GB of integrated LPDDR5X-8000 memory, providing significant memory capacity and bandwidth for AI inference, machine learning projects, virtualization, content production, and multitasking workloads.
For storage, the ER939-AI Pro includes a 2TB SSD out of the box and provides support for expansion through two M.2 2280 PCIe Gen4 x4 slots. This allows users to increase storage capacity for large datasets, project files, and professional applications.
Networking is one of the key highlights of the system. MINIX has equipped the workstation with two 10GbE RJ45 Ethernet ports, enabling high-speed wired networking for enterprise environments, network-attached storage, and data-intensive workflows. Wireless connectivity is handled by a Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 module, ensuring compatibility with the latest wireless standards.
