ATTACK SHARK has announced the R5 TURBO, a new wireless gaming mouse featuring a 43g carbon fiber composite shell, a PixArt PAW3950MAX optical sensor, and support for polling rates of up to 8,000Hz over wired and wireless connections. The new model builds on the R5 ULTRA with an upgraded Nordic microcontroller, revised internal hardware, and a new Dune color option alongside black and white. The ATTACK SHARK R5 TURBO is scheduled to launch on October 23, 2026, although the company has yet to announce its retail price.
The mouse uses an injection-molded carbon fiber composite housing with a hollowed-out design to keep its weight around 43g, with a tolerance of ±3g. Its exterior also features a cool-touch coating designed to reduce stickiness caused by sweaty hands during extended gaming sessions.

For tracking, the R5 TURBO features the PixArt PAW3950MAX optical sensor, offering a DPI range of 1,200 to 60,000 with adjustments in 50-DPI increments. The sensor supports tracking speeds of up to 750 IPS and acceleration of 60G. Users can also choose between three lift-off distance settings to adjust tracking behavior to their preferences.
ATTACK SHARK has upgraded the mouse’s controller to the Nordic nRF54LM20, replacing the nRF54L15 used in the previous generation. The new hardware enables an 8,000Hz polling rate in both wired and wireless modes. The company claims wireless click latency as low as 0.168ms in internal testing, though independent testing will be needed to verify real-world performance.
The R5 TURBO also includes a dedicated 8K wireless receiver with an extended antenna structure and three LED indicators for connection mode, polling rate, and battery level. Connectivity options include wired USB, 2.4GHz wireless, and Bluetooth.

A 290mAh battery powers the mouse, with ATTACK SHARK claiming up to 300 hours of use at a 1,000Hz polling rate. The company has not specified battery life at higher polling rates. Other features include Omron optical switches rated for more than 100 million clicks, a scroll wheel with TTC Golden Wheel encoders, and driver software for adjusting DPI, polling rate, and other settings.
The ATTACK SHARK R5 TURBO will be available from October 23, 2026. Pricing has not been disclosed, so buyers will need to wait for further details before comparing its value against other lightweight gaming mice.
