BenQ‘s esports-focused brand ZOWIE has announced two new additions to its wireless gaming mouse portfolio, introducing the FK1-DW and ZA12-DW Special Edition models. The new releases bring a combination of larger dimensions, reduced weight, and updated design elements aimed at competitive players looking for high-performance wireless peripherals.
The FK1-DW and ZA12-DW are positioned above the previously released FK2-DW and ZA13-DW models in terms of size. Despite their larger frames, both new mice weigh just 55 grams, making them significantly lighter than the 65-gram weight of their predecessors. The lower weight is expected to improve maneuverability and reduce fatigue during long gaming sessions.

ZOWIE has also introduced a dry-touch gray coating designed to enhance grip while maintaining comfort during extended use. In addition, the company has adjusted the angle of the microswitches to provide a more refined click response.
Key features of the new ZOWIE FK1-DW and ZA12-DW include:
- Lightweight 55g design
- New gray color finish with dry-touch coating
- PixArt PAW3950 optical sensor
- Support for up to 4,000Hz polling rate
- Base station-style 2.4GHz wireless receiver
- Optimized microswitch angle for improved click feel
- Larger dimensions compared to FK2-DW and ZA13-DW
The FK1-DW continues the FK series design philosophy with a lower back profile suited for fingertip and claw grip users. The ZA12-DW, meanwhile, retains the higher back shape found in the ZA family, offering additional palm support for claw grip players.
Dimension differences between the new and previous models are as follows:
FK Series
- FK1-DW: 128.9mm × 66.8mm × 37.3mm
- FK2-DW: 125.1mm × 64.9mm × 36.4mm
ZA Series
- ZA12-DW: 125.8mm × 64.6mm × 41.4mm
- ZA13-DW: 121.7mm × 62.8mm × 40.2mm

With the adoption of the latest PAW3950 sensor, a 4kHz polling rate, and a lighter chassis, the FK1-DW and ZA12-DW further expand ZOWIE’s range of esports-oriented gaming mice. The new models provide additional size options for players while maintaining the performance characteristics that have made the FK and ZA series popular among competitive gamers.
