Origin Code has expanded its Vortex DDR5 memory lineup with the announcement of a new 48 GB (24 GB × 2) DDR5 memory kit featuring speeds of 6200 MT/s and CL28 timings. The company confirmed that the new kit will debut during COMPUTEX 2026 and will be available in its Meteorite Black finish.

The latest addition joins the growing Vortex DDR5 family, which is designed for gaming systems, creator workstations, and high-performance desktop PCs. Alongside the memory kit, Origin Code also introduced a dedicated watercooling module built specifically for the Vortex DDR5 series.

According to Origin Code, the new Vortex DDR5 configuration has been tuned to provide a balance between memory capacity, latency, and operating frequency. The kit operates using an EXPO profile rated at 6200 MT/s with CL28 timings, targeting workloads that benefit from fast memory response and higher capacities.
The company says the memory is suitable for AI-assisted workflows, multitasking, gaming, and content production tasks. Compatibility details for supported motherboards and platforms will be provided through the official QVL list.
The new 48 GB variant joins several existing Vortex DDR5 configurations already available in the lineup, including:
- 32 GB (16 GB × 2) 6200 MT/s CL26
- 48 GB (24 GB × 2) 6000 MT/s CL26
- 48 GB (24 GB × 2) 6200 MT/s CL28
- 96 GB (48 GB × 2) 6000 MT/s CL26
- 192 GB (48 GB × 4) 6000 MT/s CL26
- 256 GB (64 GB × 4) 6000 MT/s CL30
Some of the higher-capacity kits also include secondary EXPO profiles capable of reaching speeds up to 8000 MT/s CL36 on supported systems.
In addition to the new memory kit, Origin Code revealed a custom watercooling block developed exclusively for the Vortex DDR5 series. The cooling solution is intended for use within complete custom liquid cooling loops and features a 2-inlet, 1-outlet design with standard G1/4 fittings.

Origin Code claims the module can improve heat dissipation efficiency by up to 50%, helping maintain stable operation during extended heavy workloads and overclocking sessions. The cooling block also includes an integrated LCD display with a 222 × 480 resolution, 60 Hz refresh rate, and a 178-degree viewing angle. Users can customize the display through dedicated software to monitor temperatures, clock speeds, and other system information in real time.

The company notes that the module only provides active cooling when connected to a full liquid cooling loop. Otherwise, it functions solely as a display accessory. Origin Code will showcase the new Vortex DDR5 memory kit and the dedicated watercooling block during COMPUTEX 2026. Both products are expected to launch around mid-May, while pricing details have not yet been announced.
