ACEMAGIC has introduced its latest compact desktop system, the F5A Mini PC, expanding its lineup with a focus on AI computing, gaming performance, and high-speed connectivity. The Mini PC is powered by AMD’s latest “Gorgon Point” architecture and is positioned as a small form factor solution for users who need desktop-level performance in a compact chassis. The base DIY model is priced at $759, while a pre-configured version with 32GB RAM and 1TB storage is listed at $1299, though availability remains limited.
The Mini PC is powered by the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 470 processor, a 12-core chip based on Zen 5 architecture. It reaches boost speeds of up to 5.2 GHz and includes a 55 TOPS neural processing unit, bringing total AI performance to 86 TOPS. This setup enables smooth handling of local AI workloads, multitasking, and productivity tasks with less reliance on cloud processing.
Graphics performance is handled by the integrated AMD Radeon 890M GPU. Based on RDNA 3.5 architecture, it features 16 compute units and clock speeds reaching up to 3.1 GHz. The iGPU supports modern gaming technologies, including FSR and frame generation features, making it suitable for lightweight gaming and content creation workloads.
Memory support includes high-speed LPDDR5X modules rated up to 8000 MT/s, with configuration options expected to vary depending on whether users choose barebone or pre-built variants. Storage expansion is another strong point, with dual M.2 2280 PCIe Gen4 slots supporting up to 12TB combined capacity. An integrated aluminum cooling plate is included to maintain thermal stability for SSDs under sustained workloads.
Connectivity is a key highlight of the F5A. The system includes dual 2.5GbE LAN ports, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and multiple high-speed I/O options. These include three USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A ports, a USB 2.0 port, dual USB4 Type-C ports with 40Gbps bandwidth, HDMI 2.1, and DisplayPort 2.1. The inclusion of an OCuLink port adds external GPU support for users who want additional graphics performance.
Thermal management is handled through a dual-fan cooling system designed to improve airflow across the CPU and rear sections of the chassis. Multiple ventilation zones assist in heat dissipation during heavy workloads, helping maintain consistent performance.
