Blaze Entertainment has officially launched the Evercade Nexus, its latest retro gaming handheld, in the US and Europe. The console is now available through Amazon, Funstock, Best Buy, GameStop, and other authorised Evercade retailers. Priced at £169.99 in the UK, $199.99 in the US, and €199.99 in Europe, the new handheld comes with RARE’s classic Banjo-Kazooie and Banjo-Tooie games, giving buyers two popular 64-bit titles alongside the console.
The Evercade Nexus features a 5.89-inch display, the largest screen used on an Evercade handheld so far, with peak brightness exceeding 500 nits. Its redesigned chassis includes dual analogue sticks, providing additional control options for 32-bit and 64-bit games. Blaze Entertainment has also introduced a black colour scheme and a customisable RGB illuminated logo. Despite the larger design, the company says the handheld remains lightweight and comfortable for portable gaming.

Physical cartridges remain central to the Evercade platform. The Nexus supports the existing library, which now includes more than 80 cartridges and over 700 games released since the platform’s debut in 2020. The collection covers publishers such as Activision, Taito, and RARE, as well as established franchises including Tomb Raider, Duke Nukem, Legacy of Kain, and DOOM. Players can access their games directly from cartridges without downloading individual titles.

EverSync is a new wireless local multiplayer feature that allows two Evercade Nexus consoles to connect directly and play the same game simultaneously, with each player using their own screen. It works without Wi-Fi or an internet connection and requires only one physical game cartridge. This allows players to enjoy supported multiplayer games with another Nexus owner without both players needing to own a copy of the game.

Other features include TATE Mode for vertical arcade gameplay, customisable display ratios, scanline options, wireless system updates, and a built-in library for tracking cartridge ownership. The console also retains Evercade’s D-pad and responsive controls, alongside USB-C charging.
Andrew Byatt, CEO of Blaze Entertainment, described the launch as an important moment for the company and its handheld platform. He said, “Evercade Nexus has arrived, marking a huge moment for us and an exciting new chapter for Evercade.” Byatt also highlighted the inclusion of Banjo-Kazooie and DOOM, alongside the growing collection of physical cartridges available to players.

The retail package includes the Evercade Nexus console, a Banjo-Kazooie Double Pack cartridge featuring Banjo-Kazooie and Banjo-Tooie, a USB-C to USB-A charging cable, and a quick-start guide. Buyers can also purchase accessories separately, including a hard-shell EVA carrying case with room for six cartridges and a screen protector kit.
