ZA/UM has confirmed that its upcoming role-playing title, Zero Parades: For Dead Spies, will launch on May 21, 2026, for PC platforms including Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG. A PlayStation 5 version is also in development and scheduled to arrive later in 2026. The release date announcement was shared alongside a new trailer that presents the title’s somber tone and unusual artistic direction.
The studio, widely known for its work on Disco Elysium, continues its focus on narrative-driven experiences with a project that blends psychological storytelling with role-playing mechanics. Zero Parades: For Dead Spies follows Hershel Wilk, a well-known intelligence operative who returns to active duty after a failed mission, and the consequences continue to affect his career and personal life. The story takes place in the fictional city-state of Portofiro, a setting described as politically unstable and shaped by conflicting interests.
“Assume the role of Hershel Wilk, alias CASCADE, a brilliant but tormented operant in the city-state of Portofiro. Five years ago, you led your team into the abyss and have been haunted by your failures ever since. Now you’ve been recalled for one desperate, final mission…”
Based on information published on the game’s store page, Zero Parades: For Dead Spies will include a skill-based progression system that allows players to develop the protagonist according to their preferred playstyle. Dialogue decisions and investigative choices are expected to influence narrative outcomes, continuing the studio’s approach of giving players control over character direction and story resolution. Tactical gameplay elements are also mentioned, suggesting that mission structure may involve strategic planning rather than purely action-focused sequences.

Promotional material indicates a surreal visual style combined with a grounded espionage theme, which may place the game within a niche segment of story-focused RPGs. With its confirmed launch date approaching, additional gameplay details are expected to be revealed closer to release.
