Glorious has announced the Glorious Model O Classic, a gaming mouse that revisits the design of the original Glorious Model O released in 2019. The company is bringing back the earlier design at a time when many modern gaming mice have shifted toward lighter builds and solid outer shells.
The Model O Classic retains the honeycomb shell that became associated with the original Model O. This design was introduced to reduce weight while maintaining structural rigidity. RGB lighting strips are also present along the sides of the mouse, similar to the earlier version. While honeycomb shells were once common in lightweight gaming mice, many recent models have moved to solid shells while still maintaining lower overall weight.
Internally, the Model O Classic uses the BAMF optical sensor derived from the PixArt PAW3370. In its current branding, Glorious lists it as a “19K Optical Gaming Sensor.” The hardware supports a maximum sensitivity of 19,000 DPI, tracking speeds of up to 400 inches per second, and acceleration up to 40G. The wireless polling rate reaches up to 1,000 Hz.
Despite its honeycomb structure, the Model O Classic weighs around 69 grams. Recent gaming mouse releases have continued pushing weight lower, with several models entering the 40–50 gram range. Some products have gone further, including designs such as the Corsair Sabre V2 Pro, which sits in the mid-30 gram range depending on configuration.
Customization for the Model O Classic is handled through Glorious Core, the company’s configuration software used across its peripherals. Through the application, users can adjust DPI stages, lighting settings, and button assignments. The software is currently available only on Windows systems.
The Model O Classic wireless gaming mouse is now available through the official Glorious online store with a listed price of $89.99. The release suggests that there is still interest in the earlier Model O design, even as the gaming mouse market continues to move toward lighter and more compact options.
